I was wondering if they started playing the Cymbalta ads again ?

They seem to have been pulled after the school shooting.

They have to say this by law with the ad

"Antidepressants can increase suicidal thoughts and behaviors in children, teens, and young adults... Call your doctor right away or seek emergency help if you have new or worsening depression symptoms; unusual changes in behavior, such as agitation, irritability, impulsivity, or restlessness; or thoughts of suicide. Be especially observant within the first few months of treatment or after a change in dose. "

of course it is a cover up... it has been for 3 decades..

It wont stop till people speak up and stop allowing distractions...

The ads for psychotropic drugs were all stopped the day of the shooting,.. they have recently returned.. no mention of this by any journalists/reporters/....

One must wonder if the drugs involved and/or being covered up isn't just about liability or money.

Everyone is screaming false flag but what happens to an unsedated America? A more alert and energetic America? A more reflective and thinking America. An America spending time dwelling on one's predictament and government action/inaction?

I always herd one of the ways communist Russia held their population at bay is that they tolerated alcoholism. They supposedly had an really high rate of untreated alcoholism-why is that. But one must realized they doped their athletes and probably doped their soldiers.

So could factions of the government be hitching a ride of big pharma's not our fault campaign for the cause of national sedation.

Dear Not the Children,

Yes, its all about the money...

The pharma companies supply/inject most of the money into the economy (of course because they take the most out)

The thing is, that society has allowed this horrific tragedy and other similar killings, to become like a "cover up" however it really isnt a cover up at all...

There is nothing to cover up..

Here's why...there really isnt any liability from the pharma's to hide from..

The black box warnings say that this type of event could happen....(they would say.. "I told you so" )

In other words, it wouldnt be "news" to the pharma's and to the govt that this event was a side affect of the meds. They already warn us with their warnings.. they already know it can happen.. they even said so, on the leaflet that comes with the drugs.(and in their CNN ads)

The people are responsible too, for allowing the govt and the pharma companies to cvontinue to get away with this type of tragedy, by allowing the media to distract us with gun laws where meds arent even an issue and havent been from the very start.

Because the people are demanding to discuss legal meds, we are asking to be distracted and letting the pharma companies know that we are happy to turn a blind eye..

It is about money,(not so much liability)..

Heres why, the pharma companies would nearly go out of biz if people stopped buying mind altering drugs. It is their biggest market and cash cow, where new ones are being created and marketed as well.

If the people stopped buying these type of drugs it would hurt the economy.

Reading so many opionions on the net where the majority seem to have allowed guns and mental illness to be the scapegoat tells me society isnt ready to speak up and do their own research. Until we change, nothing will change.

I'm sure there are politicos associated with big pharma. Perhaps campaign and lobby group contributions need to be followed more closely especially for those in power at the time of an investigative phase of one of these shootings. Even private third parties profiting off big pharma need a politician, judge and/or connections to cover up and divert big pharma complicity.

We need links between politicos and big pharma or big pharma and shooter medical record legal fights ie who are the lawyers keeping them sealed.

Dear Not the children,

the campaign funding is all above board... Its not secretive that the pharma drugs inject billions of doallrs into who they decide should run our country..
\
The pharma companies run our countries through their companies....

If it was a cover up then xposing it could help chnage it... but there is nothing to expose so no changes..

Its society who has to change .... instead of waiting for "the truth" we already know it and we still want to distract ourself..

Kinda a like a common prob where a spouse knows that their partner is having an affair, yet chosing to turn a blind eye so to continue on....(where nothing changes, if nothing changes) we continue to "settle"

Science math facts and logic 100% ignored.

Black box warning

Antidepressants and all psych drugs may increase suicidal thoughts or behaviors in some children, teenagers, and young adults, especially within the first few months of treatment or when the dose is changed...

CNN is owned by Time Warner/Turner Broadcasting. If you look at Time Warner's politics/money trail is does tend to favor Democrats and the left. And they are the ones pushing the gun problem rather than the drug problem.

Some political spending from Time Warner. Favored the President and Democrats.

http://www.opensecrets.org/orgs/summary.php...

22 legislatures own Time Warner shares.

http://www.opensecrets.org/orgs/summary.php...

Time Warner ad revenue or CNN ad revenue would be not be that transparent. Although you need to look the Time Warner CNN relationship. Ironically Time Warner owns the Huffington Post as well through AOL Time Warner. They also push the current left agenda.

Funny a legislative recipient of Eli Lilly funds also had stock in Eli Lilly & Bristol Myers Squib pharma companies.

http://www.opensecrets.org/news/2010/06/color...

50 out 60 Eli Lilly lobbiers worked in government at onetime. And 9 legislatures have stock in Eli Lilly.

http://www.opensecrets.org/orgs/summary.php...

50 ex government employees, hmmm, connections there? Or are the "connections" recipients of big pharma money legal or not. I guess this is how you steer an investigation away from your product.

Eli Lilly & Co. spent $128 million promoting Cymbalta (duloxetene) for the year through August, according to IMS Health. With an award-winning ad campaign and 70% sales growth in a cluttered category, the Hoosiers got their money's worth, seeing $1.3 billion in 2006 sales and rating a 6-1 return on investment—virtually unheard of among top drug advertisers.

DTC launched in October 2005, with unbranded work carrying the tagline “Depression hurts.”

It’s no secret that advertising works. Big Pharma wouldn’t spend over $4 billion a year on direct-to-consumer advertising if it didn’t mean massive profits.

What is more unknown is why drug ads that sow hypochondria, raise health fears and “sell” diseases are often the most common–and effective–even when the drugs themselves are of questionable safety.

The nation’s fourth most frequent drug ads in 2009 for were Cymbalta, making Eli Lilly $3.1 billion in one year, despite the antidepressant’s links to liver problems and suicide. Pfizer spent $157 million advertising Lyrica for fibromyalgia in 2009, despite the seizure pill’s links to life-threatening allergic reactions. The same year, it spent $107 million advertising the antidepressant Pristiq, even though it also had links to liver problems.

So, how does Pharma dupe us into using unsafe drugs? Today’s drug ads, targeted directly to consumers since 1999, seem like they sell diseases and often cast women, children, the elderly and mentally ill in a bad light. But a quick look at ads before direct-to-consumer advertising (DTC) in medical journals shows that drug ads have always done so. It’s just that patients didn’t used to see them.

Here are some of Pharma’s most offensive ad campaigns, then and now.

1. You’re Sicker Than You Think

When psychiatric drugs first became popular for use in the general population, in the late 1960s, everyday personality problems became imbued with psychiatric labels.“Lady, your anxiety is showing (over a coexisting depression),” says a 1970 ad, showing an older, wrinkly woman in a bouffant wig with gigantic sunglasses and garish jewelry.“On the visible level, this middle-aged patient dresses to look too young, exhibits a tense, continuous smile and may have bitten nails or overplucked eyebrows,” says the ad copy.“What doesn’t show as clearly is the coexisting depression.”
