They're NOT thinking! They've never been able to accept the fact that they're older now. They're trying to re-live their youth, and "share" it with their kids. There's a time and a place for kids, and it certainly is NOT at a drug-infested rock concert. Believe me, I went to plenty in my day, and I went to some even after I had my kids, but I never took them with me to the concerts I went to, because that was MY time. I always got a baby-sitter, or else I DIDN'T GO. Besides, how can you enjoy yourself if you have to be watching/taking care of your kids? Oh yeah, that's right, everyone ELSE watches them for you. NOT.

The one when they opened for Mott the Hoople?? OH hells, yeah, I was there!! That was one of the BEST shows EVAH!!

More of my faves: The Allman Bros. Band at the New Haven Coliseum, the first time. They did a 2 day gig, it was AWESOME! Dicky Betts had a broken leg and he was leaning against Gregg's piano for most of the show, pulling on a bottle of Jack during the breaks. OMG, that was an awesome show. And many of the Dead shows I went to were great, as well. The one year, I think it was 75 or 76, when Colt Park hosted all those great shows that summer - Peter Frampton (he jumped off an amp and split his red spandex pants right up the seam!! LOL!), Gary Wright ("Dreamweaver") opened for him. The Dead did a show there that year, I was there for that one; John Miles, Fleetwood Mac and Jefferson Starship, I was there for that one, there was a little girl, well she was short, anyway, with super-long brown hair, she was selling purple micro-dot out of a little silver tin, and the music was fantastic; the J. Giles Band opened for Jethro Tull, they had a HUGE screen behind them, framed to look like a TV, and they were calling it "Tull-Vision"; and my favorite show that year: Elf, with Ronnie James Dio (RIP, Ronnie), Aerosmith, and Deep Purple, with David Cover(RobertPlant)dale singing lead, because Ian Gillan was doing "Jesus Christ Superstar" on Broadway that year. OMG, what amazing shows! Yes and the Doobie Bros., CSNY, who else? there were so many , and NOT ONE ticket cost over $15!! Those were the days...
