I knew April and Kim when I lived in Boston. They were both lovely women, full of life and dreams. I believe their strong spirits will never die. I am so sorry to all those who have lost love in this tragedy. My thoughts are with you and your familes.

I don't believe the driver's story ... not at all. There must be witnesses out there who saw something. The mysterious car cut him of and sent him airborne over the median? Something is not right here.

The loss of Kim and April has affected me deeply since trying to help them last Sunday. I've been "Freaking Out" all week. You know? It’s funny… Marines are called upon in times of great need to help the ones that are less able to help themselves. That was the first time I felt completely useless and unable to help my fellow man. Please know that I did everything I possibly could to assist them during their trying time. I attended Kimberly’s Service last evening and plan on being there for April’s Memorial tonight in Boston.

April has been a good friend of mine since high school. She was always the first one to laugh, and had a knack for making you see the lighter side of everything. If you knew her, she was sure to change your life for the better. She will be greatly missed.
There was a memorial for April yesterday in Boston, I'm sorry "AnotherSadFriend" if you missed it. Her funeral arrangements have been made for Thursday in Detroit. If you would like more information, find me on facebook (roo way) and I would be happy to share that with you.
If anyone else is interesed, April's family has requested donations be sent to the Animal Resuce League in her memory.

Most posts have stopped, but I would still like to make a statement...
Kim was a very dear friend of mine- and after reading all the posts from people, blaming Andrew for this tragic accident, I decided to say something.
Nobody knows all the details, if he was cut off by another vehicle or not, but I DO KNOW that Kimberly would be forgiving and would not place judgment on Andrew, if in fact it was an accident. She was incredibly kind and understanding, and I'm sure- that although this tragedy has ended her time here with us- she would be forgiving of him. She was just that kind of person.
The truth can only come from Andrew, if it wasn't an accident like he claims, and it was neglect, he will have to live with that and will be judged by a MUCH better judge than all of you.
I loved Kimberly dearly, and she will never be forgotten- but what I remember most about her was her compassion and sincerity... and she would not appreciate all the negative accusations of this situation.

It's been almost 10 mo. since this tragic accident. I'm deeply moved by many of the heartfelt comments that were posted to this article. It's taken me this long to work up the nerve to do some online digging for news about the event. Kimberly was my best friend and maid of honor, I (like her family and other close friends) continue to grieve her loss and try to honor her memory every day.

Anonymous - Your post in particular struck a nerve. I can't imagine the position you were in to be the first one to check Kim's pulse after the crash. From the bottom of my heart - thank you for your courage and kindness.

For anyone who knew Kim and April, some of her friends have pulled together an annual Boston texas hold'em tournament in their memory to help support the MSCPA. The event is on 8/23/08. email [email protected] for details.

Tell me, since you know him personally, has he tried to reach out to the families of those that he killed and apologize or acknowledge some sort of wrong doing or.. since he wasnt formally charged, is that it? He just goes on his way while the families are left to suffer...
