Generally, the majority of police officers are wonderful, honest, courageous and hard working people. They are trying hard to stop drunk and thoughtless drivers- who account for many innocent people being injured or killed.
However- for the few officers involved -IF these charges against those certain police officers are true-then they should be trained properly before they go out on their patrols again and violate anyone else's rights. If they were trained properly already or continue to act unconstitutionally- then they should be fired. This should be done to avoid further lawsuits to Sparta taxpayers and without taxpayers having to pay out undeserved severance pay.
More important, to protect those citizens wrongfully charged and whose reputation was damaged even though they were not found guilty.

I live in Sparta and can confirm there are number of officers who have bad reputations. If residents know who the bad apples are, why doesn't the SPD and why isn't something done about them?
