It seems "Ken from Freehold" makes part of his living from promoting old house restoration, which means he's in it for the money.

Ken also appears to think there are ghosts.(Check out his website: http://oldhouseguy.com/aboutus.php )

Maybe he also thinks the aliens will land in Mount Tabor with huge piles of money for everyone to use to make their Mount Tabor homes just like they were in the 1800s.

Puzzled In Parsippany, NJ. The Mt. Tabor stonewall that one passes while driving on Rout 53. Why is it being allowed to fall into disrepair? This wall says a lot about Mt. Tabor.

The wall that you speak off lies in Denville Twp. and was the property of the camp meeting association.

A few years ago the camp meeting trustees gave the the wall and a couple of adjoining acres of undeveloped land to the Twp. of Parsippany free of charge because the trustees did not want to pay property taxes to Denville on that area.

At the time the land was given to Parsippany it probably had a market value of a couple of million dollars. It could be a very serious problem when association trustees give away for free the assets of a common-interest association, such as land owned in common by the members of the association.

By he way, the camp meeting association let the Route 53 wall fall apart over the years. The local historical society never appeared to care much about the wall, as it seemed to be more interested in erecting a reproduction of an early Mount Tabor beer-garden-type sign at the foot of the hill opposite Foodtown. I believe Parsippany is repairing the wall.

Thank you for your explanation, probably will be a long wait if Parsippany has to fix the wall. Why is there a chain across the beer-garden sign? To keep people in or keep them out?
