As a business owner I do my research. I never make snap decisions. If I dont understand something like legalese then I go home and look it up or find someone who can. If they really want my business theyll respect the time I need to make those decisions. Plus I always shop around. There are far too many other options out there. I know what I want, but that doesnt mean I have to go right now and get it. I can wait for the sale, coupon, special, promotion, etc.
I am sorry that you got cheated, but you always have the option to say No or I need more time to reconsider this. Even if its a sale theyll usually hold the price/ contract for two days to give you time to review it. Lets face it a sale is a sale they are still making money.
As a side note: While I was going to school I worked at the country club where he was a member. He, his, wife and children are some of the rudest and most inconsiderate people Ive met. They could care less about professionalism or courtesy. Im just saying from personal interactions with him and his family. If he couldnt teach his own children manners then it only stands to reason that he wouldnt take the time to teach his employees. Thats why the staff is so dirty, underhanded, and unprofessional. As a business owner he puts off only the bottom line matters attitude. Perhaps they have changed in 15 years, but from the sound of it nothing much has.

. You will pay doc fee at any dealer ship the ones that say you don't will just price the vehicle with the fees allready in ther get real do you think Walmart pays 3 dollers for the milk you buy nope and you pay taxes on that when you pay the cashier do ask what's you best price granted a car is far in comparison but the principal is the same there's mark up in every thing you buy and taxes

I would be very leery about buying anything much less a vehicle in an economically impoverished place like Hickory to start with. It seems like either everybody could care less if you get decent service or not OR they are out to see how deep they can gouge you. Besides that, Mike Johnson's service department has a terrible reputation.

We will never buy a car from Mike Johnson's Toyota ever again. We put $3000.00 money down and expected to pay What the seller said he would let us have the car for but, guess what, when you go to sign the contract, you'll find out they come out with fees you never knew about. You'll not end up paying less- you'll pay the same price the car is sold at on the sticker price.

i buys my car in hickory home of da brothers!

You won't lose in a lawsuit if what you say is true.
It's YOUR opinion
I tried to buy a new car from Mike Johnson Toyota FOUR TIMES,since
2007 and finally gave up.
I've never seen such goofy people in all of my life and I buy
a car every other year, sometimes every year.
One year I bought a new truck and two new cars.
I KNOW how to deal with car salespersons.
I have no other vices, so why not indulge myself, and,
I don't like taking a car in for repairs, ergo, I keep a
You can't say I didn't give MJT the benefit of a doubt.
March 1, 2013, I went to Charlotte and bought a new Toyota.
I was tired of dealing with these morons and thieves.
A mechanic friend of mine's wife had a Toyota Avalon.
He said he could have fixed it for around $1,300.00, but it
was under warranty, so he took it to Mike Johnson.
He said he couldn't believe it when he saw the bill was $7,800.00.
Does that alone tell you what a crooked place this dealership
My advise is STAY AWAY FORM MJT.
#75 Apr 14, 2013
Make the end:
Stay away FROM MJT,
OK, so I'm not such a good proof reader, but I
do know cars.

. Stop crying about doc fee if you can't afford 549 you go sale cars and c what it's like to deal with people that want every thing for nothing and have crappy credit and think how dare you try to make money y do you think dealer ships r in business to give cars away o I forgot guess we should work for free right

I don't know who you are, but, when we went to MJ, we were called constantly about coming over to buy a car, that the salesman would deduct this and that. Final bottom price after fees and all would be $16,000. but the final fee even after putting 3,000. down was $21,000. for a new car. My biff is don't tell a consumer something they aren't going to get. Be honest up front. This is the first dealership, we have ever been to, where we were totally ripped!

Good Lord, man.
Your English teacher should be shot with crap and

They shot you?
That's about all I can come up with that would be worse.
I've bought over 30 new cars and trucks in my lifetime.
Here's what I can tell you with all of my car buying experience:
DO NOT GO ANYWHERE NEAR MIKE JOHNSON TOYOTA.
This statement is as important as:
If you ever buy a used car, have a reputable mechanic
check it out.
It's better to spend a hundred or two, to have it checked out
and not buy it, than it is to buy it and find it needs thousands
of dollars worth of work.

Jim Barkley Toyota: Jim is a Tea Party supporter and flies two Tea Party flags at the entrance to his property. I think that anyone who supports those crazy whackos needs to be boycotted.
Stop buying cars from him. I wish there was a way to post the picture.

Yes they did, Gerald.
They wouldn't let them leave the dealership until they signed.
They beat them with a blackjack until they were black and blue.
I'd rather walk that buy a car from these pathetic excuses
for car salesmen.
The generic like they use in the Bible.
Not the stupid,'has to be politically correct.'
Bull Feathers !
What has happened to our society?
Down, down, down we go, into the abyss.
Heaven help us!

Bought a car from MJ not too long ago. Agreed at a price with the sales guy but once we got back to the finance guy that number went out the window quick. That guy Kelly was the slimiest salesman in the whole place. Ended up trying to pile on almost another 4k in extras just to pad the price and his wallet. Walked away from that deal quick. Pays to do a bit of research first before getting pressure talked into a bunch of crap you don't really need.

this is so true

Annie, your grammar is pitiful.
It's "never shown", not 'showed', but
I agree with you completely, bad grammar and all.
#86 Jul 20, 2013
I honestly can't imagine Mike Johnson Toyota ever selling
I've never seen such a nothing company in my entire life.
They'll tell you anything to sell you a car, but when you
review what the bottom line is, it's not even close to what you were told.
#87 Jul 20, 2013
Worst personnel ever !
Wait....worst in EVERY way.
Stay away from Mike Johnson Toyots.
They thrive on people who don't know anything
about the crooked, dishonest ways of car salesmen.
