And you think people in Alexander County don't drink because it is not sold in the county? How naive can you be.

What I don't understand is that you can buy beer and wine at the Taylorsville walmart. Then head to the local (in the middle of town) ABC store for some whiskey and vodka, but all hell will break loose if you can purchase a beer or a glass of wine to go with your village Inn Pizza dinner! So instead of expanding the economy with new businesses that would be attracted to come into Tville, bringing more money to the already established local restaurants, and possibly save a few lives (everyone knows that most people in Tville either drank at home, in their cars/trucks, or at a bar in Hickory/Statesville and then of course drive home completely wasted!) we're just going to keep Tville "pure' from the evils of alcohol. While we're at it, To Hell With Condoms! Abstinence is all anyone in Tville should know about because that is the logical way to live one's life. By the way Kiddies, remember, it's still A-OK to smoke cigs. However, we here in Tville prefer you dip your tobacco products, and please feel free to spit anywhere ya damn please! Amen.

certain people who go out of town to drink in Statesville on Saturday so the ones beside them or church on Sunday won,t know. They are depriving the non hypocrites the right to have a beer with burrito in town. They are forcing jobs and tax dollars out of the county so they can save face.

I live in Alexander co and I perferr people that drink go esle where to do so. I have lived in this county all my life and I like it the way it is. No one tells of what Beer and Liquor does to people. Splits up homes, causes deaths on highways. I would rather save lifes than to have the extra money from taxes. Please inform people of the deaths in surrounding counties that allow Beer sales in resturants.

the county is full of hypocrites like the former fat ass, Phil Addison. The mindset in Alexander County is a lot of the reason that this country as a whole is moving away from christianity and organized religion.
Being a preacher is the biggest scam that ever was, they are more corrupt than any DC politician ever thought about being.

Looks like they could use the extra tax dollars to teach spelling in the schools.Hopefully no one looking to locate a business in Alexander Co. will try to read your comments

This man is entitled to his opinion , its a free country, however if he is truly sincere about this opinion he will now campaign to have alcohol removed from Taylorsville city limits, my guess is that he is not that sincere. Anyway Thanks for helping keep our taxes down in Statesville

i lived in " Tville " for a while and i liked it, yes you could go into town and buy your Vodka but could not buy a beer on Sunday. i do not think it would have hurt the local's a bit if they passed liquor by the drink because as stated in a post, it would keep more money in Tville. and to Trekkie (omg) what about the people that do live in Tville and go to Hickory, Statesville and Lenoir to drink then drive all the way back to their trailer park drunk ? can they not have accidents on the way home ? or wait let me guess, you go pick them up so they do not have to drive, am i right Trekkie ? bull shit
