What was the name of the pet store down there on the corner.

a girl named jada worked there as well as a girl I used to go to school with named nancy..she was so tall and gorgeous . I would go to the pet store in the mall just to see that girl work .

Those were the days!

I think her name was nancy ellis (or something close)

She dated a david Leatherman or maybe it was James brown .

Either way nancy went to maiden high school lol.

Sorry to get off topic , I loved the valley hills mall in the 80s and 90s!

Ahhh yes Sky City, don't forget Woolworths in the square.

Also am I the only one that's hates they took out all the neat sitting areas throughout the mall. Most had "wishing fountains" where you could throw in pennys. Also remember the cool water wheel that was in lower level of Belks.

On my 18th birthday, had my first legal alcoholic drink - Long Island Iced Tea - at Annabelles. Back in the day when 18 was the legal age.

I worked at the Peanut Shack. It was around the corner from that tobacco-cigar shop. The name of the manager was Iris when I worked there. The last time I was there, back in 2009, I felt like a ghost. The place where the Peanut Shack would be is now a wall for a department store.

18 was the legal age for beer and wine only. It was still 21 back in the 60's and 70's for liquor, so your Long Island iced tea would not have been legal for an 18 year old.
