That cafeteria was actually Mom n Pop's "Ham House" many years ago.

There used to be a Godfathers Pizza diagonally across the parking lot from the old Crown Cinema. That place was packed on Friday and Saturday nights.

Agree, the old cafeteria was Mom n Pops Ham House.

They also had a Mom n Pops Cafeteria i the Valley Hill's Mall, which quickly changed into an Apple House Cafeteria.

Mom N Pops also had a BBQ and Seafood place where Sagebrush and Firebonz once stood and is now 5 Guys.

Shoney's Big Boy was near the old Kroger's Location as was a Sambo's Restaurant nearby to the Rose's Store @ 321/64-70 interchange.

Western Steer and Western Sizzlin stood side by side across from the old K-Mart location near Catawba Mall.

Del Taco was in the building across the road from Valley Hills before Stockyard was in it.

Burger King in the Judges BBQ building.

Danato's Pizza in Viewmont.

Add Panda Express on Highway 70 to the list. Went by there earlier this week, and all of the signs have been taken down.

Don't sound like a good idea to open a restaraunt around, people can't afford to eat out anymore,in fact their hunting the cheapest groceries they can find, income is down and expenses are up,that's probably one good reason these places are closing.family's are cutting their expenses where they can to afford the necessary things and eating out wasnt in the budget anymore when you can buy markdown meat and throw it on the grill and feed four for the price of two, that's just reality

Illegal steak out...or was it legal steak out? Also years and years ago viewmont had one of the 1st coffee houses called Cafe Euro. It was in the same development as Dairy Queen on 127. Drips Coffee house, shortly it was The Funky Night Owl (I can't remember if they served food or if it was just a bar). Toppers Pizza (viewmont), Turn 4 Pizza, Take home chicago (remember the hepatitis scare?), Mom and Pops where randy marion in located on hwy 70. There was a seafood place beside of it for a while,I can't remember the name, and the same location was also Tallywacker for a very short time. Chi Chi's where China Garden on hwy 70 is. The Peddler steak house. Hehe, it's now Night Secrets which is funny because where the Steak and Ale use to be is now Priscilla's. There was a place in the food court at the mall owned by Mcgruffys called Tomato. Ragazzi's ( I miss that place!) on hwy 70 where Panda Express use to be. It was was a hamburger place before Ragazzi's but I can't remember the name. Tasty Freeze in viewmont where the bojangles is. Angus Steakhouse on hwy 70 in long view. Sweet Potato's behind the mall where Wild wok is. I'm sure there are still more but my mind is blank now.
