Know what the normal treatment for severe mushroom poisoning is? A liver transplant. Storebought is cheaper.

I thought everyone in the world knew not to eat wild mushrooms. I once saw a real life medical drama where a good intentioned man gave his neighbor some wild mushrooms. The neighbor cooked them and fed them to his family. It almost killed his two children. The kicker is, the guy who picked them had studied wild mushrooms all of his life and was considered highly trained.

A famous mycologist from vermont also died eating poisonous mushrooms. He had written two field guides on identifying mushrooms, that was maybe 7-10 years ago.
Special Forces training they show you how to differentiate. Me, well, there's enough bugs and berries out there, no thanks, pass on the shrooms.

Amanita Muscaria, the Deadly Nightshade mushroom, was reputedly was the poison of choice favored by Lucretia Borgia to dispose of her enemies and rivals; quick and terminal. Consequently, these days, buy store bought. Abso-damned-lutely!

Yes, but it's still a safer route to consciousness expansion than a sweat lodge "facilitated" by a New Age guru/crackpot....

Some kids in Florida found some mushrooms that looked like ones that they get high on....the police caught them with them and it was a good thing as they were deadly....I found some and tried to identify if which they were and could not determine which because even the photos of the two are so similar....either way you shouldn't be messing with either one.

The only wild mushrooms I ever gather are moral because they are easy to identify and delicious.

That doesn't make sense as she was protrayed as having a ring she wore with posion in it...it would take a lot of mushrooms and they would fit in a ring.....if that is what they claimed she used to kill people maybe she was falsely accused....after all the lack of science and medical knowledge had them blaming witches and magic for illiness too....though that mushroom was linked to the early christians....

Simple. First what was it growing on, a log or the ground. Step two.. Take a black sheet of paper and a white sheet of paper, lay half the mushroom, gill side down on each, see what spore print you get, look at the base, is it bulbous or straight? Get a good book, it should explain all.

Aside from inorganic poisons such as arsenic, mushrooms were ground down to powder,as were natural cyanide derivatives. Whether or not Lucretia Borgia wore a ring to dispense poison, or REPUTEDLY used mushrooms, is apocryphal and not based in fact...By the way, mushrooms are not moral. That variety are called morels.

LOL...yes my mistake....prehaps it was Freudian as I would not consider use of either poison or psychoactive ones therefore I believe in using moral morels.

As a matter of fact, avoid any sort of food in jars or cans from eastern Europe, Russia, China, India, etc. Bear in mind that these countries have spotty in-plant QC, no land zoning, and no FDA (not that I trust ours implicitly). Who is to say that their pickles, mushrooms and such are'nt raised next to a chemical plant or nuclear facility.

Daily Horoscope for December 29

Leo

It's hard to pin down a certain person today because they're being so vague and dithery. Ask them a question and they'll vacillate or be unable to give you a straight answer. You might suspect them of deceitful goings on but it's far more likely that they're simply in a world of their own and can't keep their mind on anything for long. Don't worry, they'll soon be back on planet earth.
