I agree that we don't need farm subsidies, and I grew up on a farm. My Dad said the same thing. He said, let the law of supply and demand take care of it. It's just stupid to pay big money to people like Ted Turner, David Letterman and others, who have invested in farm land, but don't have a clue about actually working it. We have some farm land rented for crops and we get a huge $66 a couple of times a year. As far as I'm concerned, they can just keep it. And also, the comment about political parties is true. Just do away with the Republicans and the Democrats, and do what's right for the majority of the people. And put in term limits, so they don't go to Washington expecting to make a career out of it. Nothing is going to ever change until we do that.

Jerry Moran has served Kansans well. He is not afraid of the "demofacto" regime that has not served the middle class taxpayer but serves only themselves the the selected ones! Obama's stimulus plan has worked in that the stimulation is the agony and ire of the taxpayers, who had to pay for his foolishness, who will do everything possible to send him back to Illinois!! Better yet, it would be fitting for Obama and Pelosi to be sent to the same "resort", as in this is the last resort, you are out of here!! PERIOD!!!

She seems to be the moderate in this race. Moran is too far to the right for me.

Lisa is a moderate who wants to represent ALL Kansas. She is not a professional politician. Instead, she values education and civil exchanges about how to make our state and our country a better place for everyone.

Moran is another whining "party of no" Republican't. He and the corporate stooge he wants to replace are no solution; they are part of the problem. I trust Lisa Johnston to be a reasonable, intelligent, articulate voice for Kansas in a Washington that desperately needs forward thinkers like she is.

Moran had to move to the right in order to beat ultra radically conservative Tiahart. He is really more of a middle of the road independent. The type of person who should/could represent Kansas.

Moran, a career politician, I have not seen him do anything worthy of anything - I will vote for Lisa Johnson simply because she is a woman who might be more sensitive to the issues.

If you want to have the same old problems keep electing the same old representatives.D or R doesn't seem to matter, so I voted for liberty and a Constitutional government.Clearly Dann has what is best for Kansans in mind.

Jerry Moran has helped to create the national deficit by being one of the biggest recipients of Farm Subsidies.

80% of Farm Subsidies go to the richest 10% of "farmers". They subsidize things like the production of high fructose corn syrup that is a factor in the epidemic of diabetes that we are seeing. Farm subsidies also subsidize the production of corn-based ethanol which actually takes more fossil fuels to produce than it saves when used in our cars.
Many conservative economic leaders say that Farm Subsidies have helped to build the national deficit for a long time, so why would we want a welfare queen like Jerry Moran, who helped so much to put this country in debt, why would we want this hypocrite making decisions about our lives.
In order to vote for a Democrat we must look at the leadership their party has. Look at what they have done with power. They haveset new debt levels and "paygo" was a joke and "five day work week" was a joke and now we should support another Democrat to continue this foolishness?
We have the man in the Oval Office admitting he didn't even read spending bills, much less understand them.
If you want to rubber stamp your way to complete economic meltdown, vote for the people who could care less what the bill says as long as it sounds nice.
Voting D or R is as pointless as it can get. They both spend more money than they take in. Perhaps if their pay was dependent on a surplus they would find a way to stop spending.
If you want the same old problems support the same old parties.

Sensitive?
How about following the Constitution? Will she read every bill before she votes for it or will she allow the Democrat leadership to dictate her vote?
We have seen how Democrats operate, the last thing this country needs are Democrats based on their history since being given the power over all taxation and spending.Since 2007 we have been going rapidly downhill. Record foreclosures, record evictions, record bank closures, all leading up to the fact that under the Democrats we have more Americans unemployed than during the last great depression.
If you vote for a Democrat you are saying that what they have done so far is acceptable. You are saying you don't care that they don't know what is in bills they pass. You are saying it is OK to spend money without any oversight and far in excess of any party anytime in control of both the House and the Senate.
If you like the violations of their own promises elect another Democrat
