this situtation is similar to droughts in Africa and the animals have to find a new watering hole.Maybe some of the people need to move to areas of better opportunity where people do not rely on 1 or 2 big companies.Or is this a place where we can start competing with China.

If so, it is a drought we've created with our own policies and choices, and the American people's willingness to buy "cheapest and disposable" and not insist on American-made goods (too late now). And, what do you tell the people that have to move to another "watering hole" when their biggest single asset (their house) has to be sold in a locally depressed real estate market? This type of problem is not addressed by "trade policy", but is left for the little guy to bear the brunt.

Both parties have taken a total 'to hell with the little people' attitude in terms of their economic livelyhoods

In 1992, Ross Perot told us exactly what would happen to places like Newton, IA if NAFTA passed.

Yet both parties did it anyway, and now Newton's sunk. Somehow, what Maytag employees in Newton were able to do from 1893 until recently, they are now 'unable' to do

What kind of country does this to their own productive people?

Perot said if we passed NAFTA and other globalist schemes, that all the jobs would be sucked out and the national debt would explode - and here we are today, on our knees borrowing from the people we gave our industries to

It's economic treason

In the last nine years there has been over 42,000 thousand factories closed in the US that employed more than 500 workers. The main problem is the so called "free trade agreement" that Ross Perot warned everyone about. The US needs Ron Paul and more people like him to take back the country from the corporate looters and banksters.

I watched 60 minutes and wished I could do something. Now don't laugh but I'm wondering if there could be a website set up to do something like the following: 1. sponsor a business in Newton, Iowa 2. provide 'micro-loans' for businesses 3. provide services or products for businesses to help them cut costs. If many people across this country even donated $25 to help Newton rebuild businesses and commerce, it could add up. Anyone out there thinking like I am? I know I saw something recently for helping small businesses in other countries on the web. Why not here?

Windstream, isn't that another name for mediacon? Hell they charged to much for there out of date service anyway.
What amazes me is in the darkest of times, Alliant energy gets a 9% increase to keep the profit margin levels up for the share holders.
Chaz is a little holly wood.
