It's a known fact the DEA is investigating the office because of the misuse of narcotic pain killers. While some patients may abuse or sell pills, there are those that are in real need of them . In fact many are physically addicted to there pain meds. Now Urgent care is denying treatment and the Dr. is not allowed to prescribe any treatment or ongoing care.
Every one on legally prescribed narcotics is now a DRUG ADDICT! You are on your own.
It's ok that the office Dr. is in jail for fraud & the other one isn't allowed to write scrips for narcotics because of the misuse.
Twinner is not a dealer, He has taken on the full load of patients & responsible for everyone.
Simple solution: Photo ID Required for all Narcotics, Hell I can't even buy Sutifed anymore for my cold with out an ID because of the Meth problem. Why not the same for Narcotics?
Urgent Care is dening help to people that are Addicted to prescribed Drugs even if taken as prescribed! The DEA has all there records so finding another provider with all the problems from that office is imposable. Patient Abandonment! Even junkies get treatment to wheen them off drugs not just cold turkey!

I completely understand what you mean. They should be able to look and see which patients were getting too many meds and make those patients go elsewhere. It is a horrible situation when you have no records, no one will take care of you and the one person who could write your meds refuses to do so all without any notice whatsoever. Is this not indeed patient abandonment when they refuse to see you or fill your meds without any notice? They are not even trying to help find doctors to cover any of these patients. I myself was promised that they would indeed fill my meds for one more month so that I would have sufficient time to find another physician but after arriving for my appointment and waiting for 45 minutes I was told sorry but the ARNP refused. I guess I have to pray that I do not have an asthma attack, stroke from high blood pressure or that I myself do not go into withdrawal and lose my job because I have also been a chronic pain management patient for several years. I just do not understand why they are not being held responsible for the patients that have been under their care at the clinic. If they are not going to help legitimate patients then what is the point of even keeping the practice open. Surely, they could check with the area pharmacies to see who is trying to fill multiple scripts there has to be a way to get these people under control. This is why there is such a stigma when it comes to chronic pain because of people that are able to get enormous amounts of narcotics to abuse and sell. Anyone with a brain can see that the average person could not take such an excessive amount of narcotics and they would be dead. Why punish all of us? I just can't believe that the Urgent Care Clinic has no responsibility in finding placement for real displaced patients. This whole situation reeks of abandonment.
