I have no idea what is going on with his case but just because he is still out on bail doesn't mean the charges have been dropped. Sometimes it takes years to go to trial.
Bond should be more than $50,000 for vehicular homicide where alcohol was involved. If I were her father I would be angry that the man who killed my daughter was drunk when he hit her and is now out on that little of a bond....The message is loud an clear.

It wouldn't have mattered if the bond was $500,000 he still would have been able to make it. He has money. And anytime somebody is not considered a flight risk the bond is lower. With her family being in another state it may be forever before it goes to trial. I kind of figure eventually people will forget about it and nothing will ever be done.

It would be different if her family lived here where they could be in the court's face about it. But all they can do is call and probably never get to talk to anybody. I Aldo don't think it's right for them to put it off a hundred times like they do everything else around here because the family has so far to come.

Although family pushing can make difference, only 15% or so of cases actually go to trial. Most are settled with plea agreements. It almost always takes at least a year if person actually has a trial & doesn't take deal.

i spoke with jimmy dunn this past weekend. heh said they were busy dealing with the stephenson murder retrial last week. dunn also recused himself from the case because he and ford go to church together. al schmutzer will be handling ford's case. it will be in court soon.

Cut that out. don't bring that in. You need to scold Ford for his heinous actions. He has the biggest cross in the neighbor hood and professes to be almost like Jesus. His actions show to me that he is of the Christian belief but not a real Christian. Don't you call those kind of folks charlatans?
