Hey confused, Maybe you should listen to the local news or read the local paper OR listen to any of the news stations in Knoxville. Everybody knows it.
He committed a felony. And it is all over the news. |

Yes is was Ricky Bryant. Here's what was on the Newport Plain Talk web site: Bryant charged in connection with Cosby bank robbery Published: 5:19 PM, 10/02/2010 Author: David Popiel Source: The Newport Plain Talk A former Cocke County land developer faces several charges in connection with a September bank robbery and is being held in jail. Ricky Vernon Bryant, age 60, of 2233 Nations Road, was charged after the Sept. 27th armed robbery at the Cosby National Bank of Tennessee branch bank. Sheriff Armondo Fontes said that the lead investigator was Detective Derrick Woods, assisted by Detective John Carrell and Deputy David Crowder. They first arrested and charged Bryant with manufacturing marijuana, while looking for a Jeep believed to have been used by the alleged bank robber. Det. Woods said they found a green Jeep matching the description of the suspect vehicle on property owned by Bryant off Wilton Springs and Nations roads. The law officers also saw marijuana plants growing in plain sight. Det. Woods said some were planted in the ground and other were in pots; a total of 77 plants were seized. Bryant was not home at the time. He was later arrested and taken to the Cocke County Jail early on October 1st after the investigators gathered evidence and witnesses testimony, said Sheriff Fontes. The FBI also worked with the sheriff's dept. On Saturday afternoon, Bryant was officially charged with aggravated robbery, aggravated kidnapping, aggravated assault, and theft over $60,000. Det. Woods said investigators have identified Bryant as the suspect who allegedly entered the bank, robbed the tellers, and left in a green Jeep. The kidnapping and aggravated assault charges were placed because the bank tellers were forced to stay in the bank and unable to leave, while allegedly being threatened by Bryant with a long gun. Bryant is being held in jail without bond pending arraignment, possibly on Monday morning. For many years Bryant built a successful real estate and development business, acquiring land, developing it for residential building and subdivisions, and selling land. He became ill and was unable to continue his business. |

He should have been in jail 10 years ago. He robbed ALOT of people. Me being one.
He lied about his land developments. He lied about the communities. Heck what didn't he lie about. I could go on and on. Wish I knew what I know now-10 years ago. Wouldn't be in the situation I'm in. |

Is he still married to Karen Brooks? The last I knew, she worked as a court reporter. That must be embarresing. I remember years ago when they arrested him for poaching in the National forest to get the things he sold in his little shop. I guess that was not all he was selling.
