I know one thing for sure. Mexicans are bringing in drug resistant cases of TB.

http://www.aolnews.com/2010/07/01/us-health-o...

CHIAPAS, Mexico (July 7)-- Tuberculosis, one of the world's deadliest diseases, has long been forgotten by most Americans, but it is re-emerging in a new, virulent form around the world. U.S. health officials now worry that especially dangerous strains of the airborne pathogen have surfaced in Mexico, thanks to a dysfunctional health care system in the country's poorest regions. And they could spread to the United States.

Here's one scenario that keeps health officials on edge: A Mexican contracts the disease from a family member, or even a poorly run hospital, and then comes to the United States seeking work. There, living in crowded, cramped conditions without adequate ventilation, he passes it to several other migrants. But instead of promptly seeking medical assistance, the workers shun health care out of fear that they won't be treated or risk being deported. As a result, the disease festers and spreads.

Dr. Eugene McCray, the chief of the international tuberculosis elimination program at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, considers any legal barriers to care "abysmal, because people are in the community and they are going to transmit disease and it is going to affect Americans. It is very short-sighted." He said the best way to halt the disease isn't border protection, but increased collaboration and support to strengthen Mexico's health system. "For enlightened self-interest, we need to be concerned about tuberculosis," he said. "It has been totally ignored for many, many years."

Of course they WILL spread to the United States. We let these people come into out country illegally and set up camp then give them everything for free. Send them back home where they came from. If they cross the. larder illegally shoot them in the head!

She definitely isnt mexican. What she is can only be described as a self centered, uncaring c*nt. This woman has known she has tb for weeks but it doesnt slow her down at all. She keeps running to er because the medicine designed to protect all of us and cure her makes her tummy hurt. She is rude and demanding and should have been locked up earlier.

They're eatin' up tax dollars like you evidently have never researched. Food stamps, free medical care, every give away and freebie out there. Get a loan in one of your 20 aliases at the 20 apartments each filled with 20 Mexicoons and just quit paying. Go back to the sewer south of the border and never pay a dime. I'll bet your ancestors never had this luxury unless you're a mid 20s beaner yourself.

Ummmm maybe you need to educate yourself before you start blowing air. They come here and get knocked up and then get a food stamp card for the kid. The parent draws for the kid. Then the kid gets medicare and then the mother can get it. And if you see mexicans paying with cash you are either lying or delusional. I have seen plenty of them using a food stamp card. So NO you do not need an American ID. So uh hum think about THAT for a minute!

Yes it is TB. They were not vague about that.

I agree. People have a right to know if they have been around her. At the same time if she has been to Wal Mart you could have been around her and have no idea. If we end up with an epidemic she needs to be exposed. Screw hippa. She knew she had this and obviously didn't care. She has been out putting people at risk. I am curious to if she had a job? Was it a job dealing with the public? And did we go in that business?

And if she is in the hospital locally it would be easy to find out. The room would have signs on the door saying no one can enter without proper protective gear.

Fact- Did the paper write that it was Tb? I must have missed that. Thought they only wrote infectious disease.

I guess you did. Go to www.929wnpc.com and it tells there. Pretty sure the paper said it too. Besides that just because the paper didn't include a particular fact doesn't mean it isn't so.
