This is the funniest column I have read in years. Barney Frank is the nastiest and mouthiest democrat out there and he is bemoaning the lack of bipartisanship? The fact of the matter is that this didn't begin with Gingrich it began with Bork. The democrats created a new term in congress .."getting Borked".
Actually the tenor of politics today is not all that dissimilar to the tenor of politics throughout history it is just that for a couple of decades after WWII we had conservative democrats and moderate republicans. Now the magnets have separated the two and defined the arguments better.
I think it is a good thing since it results in fewer deals done behind closed doors and only results in bad law when periodically one side gets too strong for a couple of years. Like the democrats right now. The result is bad law. Like the health care bill. The same thing happens when the republicans get too powerful. The best situation is to have them at each others throats so that only the most important and necessary legislation gets advanced. The last thing we need is cross aisle good fellowship and have them passing a bunch of junk legislation to justify getting reelected.

Truth to tell, I am tired of both Republicans and Democrats. nothing makes much sense anymore, at least not to me.

What a joke Barney Frank is. The way it is: Good=The American way of life and the Constitution; Bad=progressivism and socialism.
Who are the good and the bad in DC?

This in nonsensical. Bork was appointed by Reagan, who really began dividing and destroying America in order to win the 1980 election. His people, in particular future CIA chief William Casey, met with the Iranians in Spain in 1980 to get them to hold onto the American hostages until after the election so that Jimmy Carter would lose. That's the ultimate in putting party over country. It's also treason.
When Reagan nominated the extreme-right Robert Bork to the Supreme Court, he did it knowing that Bork was WAY outside the mainstream, and it thus was a calculated partisan move. Congress did the right thing by rejecting Bork.
Reagan's people also sold U.S. arms to our enemies in Iran and illegally propped up terrorists in Nicaragua, which to this day has left mistrust for the U.S. in that country and made the Sandinistas the most popular party there.
So if you don't like MovOn.org or Keith Olberman, you can thank Ronald Reagan, Karl Rove, the Swift Boaters, the Tea Baggers, and the other right-wing traitors who have subverted the United States of America to serve their partisan and corrupt interests.
