Obama: just not trustworthy enough to enforce immigration laws.
NationalReview.com , Feb. 5, 2014
Obamas Immigration Non-Enforcement Actions
A timeline of the presidents efforts to undermine existing immigration law.
President Obama is facing a major hurdle in trying to get his immigration rewrite through the House: Members of Congress just dont trust him.
Republicans, who control a majority of seats in the House, doubt Obama will faithfully enforce new immigration laws, and they point to his repeated violations of existing law as evidence. Even reform champions such as Marco Rubio (R., Fla.) concede that its difficult to find a good answer to this charge.
Opponents are quick to cite the Obama administrations selective enforcement of Obamacare, along with its tendency to bypass Congress via executive order, as evidence that the president would readily disregard aspects of an immigration-reform law he doesnt like, such as provisions to secure the border.
Republicans can also point to myriad examples of the Obama administrations selective enforcement of existing immigration laws. The list is longer than even some GOP opponents of comprehensive reform realize.

The Republican-controlled House of Representatives voted to cut food stamps by about $40 billion over a few years. That compares to a proposed $4 billion cut in the senate.
BuzzFlash at Truthout has written on Food Stamps many times and pointed out how they actually stimulate the economy. Studies on Food Stamps have shown that up to $1.70 goes back into the economy through the food distribution change for every dollar spent. And given the continued decrease in wages and joblessness for many Americans, the need for Food Stamps is rising.
But Food Stamps have been up there with Ronald Reagan's "welfare Mom in a pink Cadillac" stereotype for acceptable symbols of the white racist tribal identity edge of the social wing of the GOP. This is the wing whose base prejudices are manipulated by the likes of the Koch Brothers' organizing groups to blame poor minorities for the increasing economic woes of the white working and middle class -- instead of where blame belongs on the upward distribution of money to the wealthiest in America.
You may think equating GOPers (no Democrats voted for the bill) who vote for food stamp cuts as closet Aryan Nations members a bit over the top (and it maybe), but beating a person to death and starving them is a fine line of moral iniquity. And what the GOP in the House wants to do is basically starve minorities because they are gaining too much voting power, and the GOP doesn't -- and hasn't -- ever wanted to split the wealth of America with the descendants of slaves or contemporary de facto slaves: Mexicans working in the US for barely survivable wages.

Sadly, Republicans today are driven by hate, racism and intolerance
It too often takes a lot to get past the self-righteous rhetoric of the rabid right-wing of the Republican Party, driven by fake grassroots organizations like the tea party.
Behind all the fact-defying hyperbole, Republicans are driven by hate, racism and much more.
Republicans fear and oppose tolerance, equality, fairness and elimination of discrimination based on race, gender or nationality.
The GOP is a party of bigots and the government is shut down today for no other reason than a deep seeded hatred of a black president and a society that is changing to welcome gays and those of differing religious, cultural or psychological beliefs into our midst.
I spent most of my 15 years in politics either working for GOP members of Congress or the committees that support their party or dealing often with difficulty with those who genuflect to the vocal right wing that controls the party of the elephant.
Although I never registered as a Republican or considered myself a party member, I took their money and looked the other way when it came to the GOPs disgraceful, disruptive and dangerous beliefs and activities.
I finally walked away when a GOP consulting firm ordered me to craft a campaign that would smear gays with lies and innuendos because that community supported the opponent of the Republican candidate represented by the firm.
I made a lot of money as an operative for Republicans. I also went spent the end of each day drowning my guilt with singe-malt scotch. It has taken 19 years, four months and four days as a coin-carrying member of Alcoholics Anonymous to deal with that part of my life.
Politics, at one time, was driven by issues and not personalities. Those on opposite sides of the political aisles fought like cats and dogs over issues during the day, then spent social time together as friends and colleagues.
To borrow and adapt a phrase from the Mafia: It wasnt personal, just business.
But that changed dramatically in 1994 when Republicans won control of Congress and let hate-driven leaders like Newt Gingrich control the partys agenda. Gingrich, as Speaker, ran the House of Representatives with spite and personal vendettas. His actions drove black Omaha Congressman J.C. Watts from a leadership role in the House. Watts was also viewed as a Republican in Name Only(RINO) because he favored moderation on many issues.
More than one Republican has defended his racism not with a denial of his own racist beliefs but instead by pointing out that long-time West Virginia Democratic Senator Robert Byrd was once a member of the Ku Klux Klan. They fail to mention that the late Senator spent most of his remaining years in office apologizing and trying legislatively to make up for that period in his life.
The hatred and personal vendettas of Gingrich continues with Republicans on Capitol Hill today. The rabid right-wing that controls the party is driven by a tea party agenda that is racist in nature and intolerant in practice.
Last year, I attended a tea party meeting in Roanoke, Virginia, where I sat in the back and did not identify myself as either a reporter or a former Republican political operative. Over the next 90 minutes, I heard President Barack Obama referred to several times with the N-word, gays called fags or queers and Jews called ethnic names. All Obama programs were called Socialistic or Communist.

Obamacare and jobs: CBO adds fuel to fire
The Republicans just got a big gift from the Congressional Budget Office: Its going to be a lot easier for them to call Obamacare a job killer.
Thats because the budget offices new economic report, released Tuesday, says the health care law will cause Americans to work fewer hours enough to be the equivalent of 2 million fewer jobs in 2017.
The latest number is nearly three times as high as the budget offices previous prediction, and its supposed to rise in later years to the equivalent of 2.5 million jobs in 2024.
Theres a lot more fine print about what those numbers really mean, and whether the jobs were lost. In fact, CBO said its in large part about the number of hours people choose to work, not actual job losses.
But what matters politically is how the numbers look in attack ads. And in this election year,2 million lost jobs is a Republican ad-makers dream.
The projection will put the White House, and especially red-state Democrats, in an even more awkward position heading into November.
Until now, theyve mostly had to worry about stories of canceled health plans and, of course, the botched website rollout. Now theyll need to figure out how to counter, or at least explain, the new CBO job figures.

Why the new CBO report on Obamacare is good news
The Congressional Budget Office is out with its latest report on the Affordable Care Act, and here are a few bottom lines:
The ACA is cheaper than it expected.
It will "markedly increase" the number of Americans with health insurance.
The risk-adjustment provisions, which Congressional Republicans want to overturn as a "bailout" of the insurance industry, will actually turn a profit to the U.S. Treasury.
Given all this, why are the first news headlines on the CBO report depicting it as calling Obamacare a job killer?
You can chalk up some of that to the crudity of headline-writing, and some to basic innumeracy in the press. But it's important to examine what the CBO actually says about the ACA's impact on the labor market.(You can find it at pages 117-127, excerpted here.)
RELATED: Yes, men should pay for pregnancy coverage, and here's why
The CBO projects that the act will reduce the supply of labor, not the availability of jobs. There's a big difference. In fact, it suggests that aggregate demand for labor (that is, the number of jobs) will increase, not decrease; but that many workers or would-be workers will be prompted by the ACA to leave the labor force, many of them voluntarily.

We've previously identified this GOP position as the most cynical attack on the ACA of all the Republicans choose to call it a "bailout" of insurers; actually, it's a way of keeping premiums for some plans from getting out of hand, until the industry has more experience dealing with its new clientele. Unsurprisingly, the GOP is doubling down on this dishonesty by talking about eliminating the risk corridors as a condition for raising the federal debt limit.
The CBO, in any case, says that in 2015-2024, the government will pay out $8 billion in risk subsidies to the insurers but collect $16 billion. Real-world math says this is a gain to the Treasury of $8 billion; GOP math says it's a "bailout." You be the judge.
Regarding its most important bottom-line finding, the CBO says enrollment in individual insurance exchanges may reach only 6 million this year, down from its previous estimate of 7 million, thanks to the problems with the federal enrollment website, healthcare.gov . But it says enrollment will likely surge as the April 1 deadline for signing up approaches, and the 7-million goal is still attainable.
The ACA will increase the number of Americans with health insurance by 13 million this year, 20 million next year, and 25 million each year from then through 2024. Some 80% of those enrollees will be receiving federal subsidies to keep their coverage affordable.
There will be fewer uninsured people living in the United States, and most of those with individual coverage will be getting help to pay for it. Is there another other conclusion to draw from those statistics than the Affordable Care Act is working?

Your inability to find an article doesn't make it a lie. It took 2 seconds to locate the Washington Post article by entering the title into Google. Here you go:
It's tough to swallow isn't it. Even the Washington Post opines that Obama's dishonesty and incompetence is responsible for killing immigration reform.
Previously you 'misstated' statistics from an article you quoted, you've laughably called federaltimes.com a 'tea bagger' site, you're obviously clueless about how to use Google, you're ignorant about what constitutes plagiarism (sorry, sweetheart, but quoting an article and providing its source is not plagiarism), your type-before-thinking posts regularly get shredded at the Ravenswood Topix site and, inevitably, your retorts degrade to vulgarities and insults.
And, despite evidence to the contrary, you remind us that you're 'educated' because you've been accepted to college.

Sorry dude, but the article was an 'opinion' of Obama's immigration views, the author is a conservative that worked as a speech writer for G W Bush and D. Rumsfeld. Of course he's not going to say a good thing about Obama. In all his articles, he never has. The Daily Telegraph named him 97 out of 100 ' Most Influential Conservatives in America'. An opinion is just that. HIS opinion. It doesn't make his views true. As a matter of a fact his opinion is mostly false from the start.
He should base his articles on fact instead of his personal opinion of Obama's stance on immigration. Not that the GOP hasn't stopped him various times in the past to do something about it. The real truth is immigration reform stalls because GOP has widespread doubt about Obama. John Boehner ( Speaker of the House ) drew rebukes from advocacy groups frustrated by the verbal zigzags of a speaker who has spent 15 months calling immigration a top priority while refusing to bring any legislation to the House floor. This opinion of a deep rooted conservative reminds me of reading opinions on the FOX news website. IMO.

You can see it here now...
He's jealous because you have one of those fancy "college educations". He doesnt have the ability to understand your college educated logic. He's more like on the level of Limbaugh juiced logic.
Limbaugh Logic example...You all know that grass is always green after it rains except in Kentucky where it's azure. Therefore, this proves that President Obama was born in Kenya, where there is grass and it is some color too...hahaha everybody knows this...hahahaaha those dumb liberal dont know nothin...

Signing up for Obamacare via the security nightmare website or assisted by an Obamacare 'navigator' with no accountability is like playing Russian roulette with your most personal information.
Unlike school bus drivers or cafeteria workers, most Obamacare 'navigators' are not required to pass a background check. But you're required to give these strangers your social security number, financial and health care information.
What could go wrong?
NationalReview.com , February 7, 2014
Medical Identity Theft and Obamacare
Michael Ollove, a reporter for Stateline, noted that 43 percent of identity-theft incidents in the United States are medical-related,a far greater chunk than identity thefts involving banking and finance, the government and the military, or education. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services says that since it started keeping records in 2009, the medical records of between 27.8 million and 6.7 million people have been breached.
Regardless, as many as 31 states do not conduct background checks on Obamacare navigators, who have access to enrollees names, Social Security numbers, financial records, and health information. A recent NR report found that in California, at least 43 navigators approved by the state health exchange had prior convictions, including for forgery and welfare fraud.
Clearly, theres enormous risk that consumers confidential information could fall into the wrong hands. Without more oversight, expect even more dramatic statistics by next year.

OBAMA SCARE: Fox News Warns That If You Sign Up For ObamaCare Hackers Will Steal Your Life Savings
On Friday's episode of "The Real Story" on Fox News, host Gretchen Carlson introduced an ominous new strain of fear mongering to intimidate Americans from learning more about how the Affordable Care Act (aka ObamaCare) can benefit them. Fox News is so terrified that people will discover how much there is to gain by enrolling, that they continue to invent ever more frightening tales of horror.
Carlson's guest for the segment was John McAfee, the notorious developer of the anti-virus software company, who is presently a fugitive from a murder investigation. Carlson introduced McAfee with a declarative statement that enrolling in ObamaCare is dangerous because "Hackers could easily steal your identity. You could even lose you life savings if you do sign up."
Oh my! That sounds awful. Pack up the kids Mabel, we're moving to our bunker in Idaho where we stashed the gold bullion and freeze-fried moose stew. Fox News has confirmed that legions of hackers will be stalking innocent health insurance consumers to bleed them dry and deliver their souls to Satan.
This wild assertion that visitors to HealthCare.gov are going to be victimized by hackers is designed to frighten people away from the web site. Fox News has embarked on a full scale assault against ObamaCare with false allegations of higher costs, reduced service, death panels, national deficits, and even allusions to slavery. Their goal is to steer enough gullible viewers away from participating in order to engineer the program's failure. And now they are deploying their latest tactic, fear of a malicious army of identity thieves.
During the interview, Carlson raises the specter of outlaw hackers laying in wait on the ObamaCare web site. However, neither she nor McAfee actually provide any evidence of such a threat. In fact, when directly asked about it. McAfee diverts from the question and lays out a completely different threat that has nothing whatsoever to do with the ObamaCare web site:
More garbage form the FOX news network and various other sites.
Lose your life savings while signing up for Obama care? Really ?
No wonder the right wing numb nuts lost 2 Presidential elections in a row to a black dude that wants to bankrupt the country!!

yes, it's me that nasty little in-bred looking prick you've all come to know and love. Ive been hearing rumors about Texas going BLUE. This would be disasterous to the GOP. just think how many electorals we would lose.
However, I know that I can think up some more devious, retardedly brutal accusations against Obamacare to sway over more voters. This is my idea alone, so please dont try to steal my idea. This strategy is sure to win back the hispanic, black, women and gay voters for sure let alone the middle of the road leaning middle class Independants.
Yes, im a nasty little prick but Im going to give it you middle class slackers real good. You lazy ass bums are going to really feel my hostile rath going forward. So vote for me Rand Paul for president all you lazy bastards out there. Im going to give it to you good without Obamacare and unemployement benefits...Oh yeah were taking all that shtt away from you beggars.
So it's easy to see.... the Texans will blindly follow me too, once they get my message of tolerance and fair mindedness and im just the type that you like...I say jump and you say How high, Sir...yes and dont forget the Sir...or I will put you on "death row" prison in two shakes...get it now?
So, have a nice day....you freakin losers

The OFA is Barack Hussein Obama's 2012 reelection committee now desperately trying to put lipstick on the Obamacare pig--Obama's legacy legislation--by huckstering a meeting with the President.
In the first 16 weeks only 3 million enrolled for Obamacare. In the coming 8 weeks 4 million more enrollments are needed to meet Obama's projections.
The math doesn't look good so anticipate 'an extension' to provide cover for the Obama administration's epic incompetence.

OFA hopes offer to meet president will boost last-minute Obamacare enrollment
An advocacy group tied to President Obama is enticing volunteers to drum up last-minute enrollment in Obamacare by offering a free trip for two winners to Washington to meet the president.
To boost enrollment in Obamacare, OFA is dangling the offer for volunteers of free air fare to Washington and a free hotel stay, a package worth about $1,400, to meet Mr. Obama backstage at the groups national organizing summit on Feb. 25. Two winners will be chosen at random, the group said, and will be able to bring guests with them on the trip.
As of Jan. 24, the government said more than 3 million people had enrolled for private health insurance through the ACA exchanges. The administration has set a goal of 7 million enrollees by the end of March.
The enrollment push comes just days after a report by the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office raised new criticisms about the ACA, saying the program would create a disincentive for some Americans to work full-time because its subsidies decrease as a workers income rises.
