I have visited the Millersburger Hotel and have found it to be tacky at best. The clientele (no lie!) seemed to have come out of the movie "Deliverance". Would not recommend unless you enjoy drinking warm beer and eating sub-par food.

Amen, I would have to agree 110%. The Millersburger use to be a half decent place but in the last 10 years of so has gone way down hill. If you want a better place to drink or dine in Millersburg try the Wooden Nickel or Waynes. Granted it's not big city dining but for a small town they are not half bad.

The Millersburger has been a dive since the 80s.

I had worked the kitchen in the early '90, numerous times seen the mother take meatballs from the garbage and return them to the sauce pot. She also washed french fries and returned them to the fryer. I would spit on the food if I knew there would be a minimal tip. Donnie May tries to pick up every woman that walks into the place. this not a place for childen.

What???? Seriously Larry? Wow guess Small Town Perfection doesn't mean anything to the Mays. Haven't been in the dive in years but I know I will never be there again!

Anyone who ate at that place got what they deserved. Seriously, after walking inside and taking a look around, how in the world could you think about eating anything there? Just drinking anything was taking enough of a chance.

If it was up to me I would have taken a match to the place years ago.

Larry, you sound like quite the loser. Just working in the kitchen there pretty much qualifies you but spitting in peoples food because you didn't get a good tip? You must be quite proud of yourself. Loser.

I think the place is a dive but, alot of people live in walking distance to it and theres only a few other bars.Rather than getting in a car and killing someone because there drunk they would rather walk no matter what or who goes to that bar.People like larry are short minded and probable got a dui a time or two in his life.So not that bad of a place.Just not for everyone.

Its too bad that someone in the know could not get involved and renovate the hotel. It is a great building.
Mrs. May has made it through a lot. Not sure what her age is but she is past retirement but she keeps going, At least she is giving to society and not living off it. She has battled cancer with chemo treament and hair loss, plus other health problems. I don't know about the kitchen but the place is friendly and the food is really not that bad. We and others eat there about twice a month. I have regulaly seen the "upper crust" there.
It is a shame about the negativity instead of encouragement. And yes I have eaten in "grand" places.

You know, I could truly understand the spitting thing, but I've been a dishwashing employee at the burger since I was old enough to work. Few years, I'm eighteen now. I've been scrounching up the weekend hours for Art School. There aren't many places for anyone under 25 to get a decent job. so I'm a loser for having a decent teenage occupation? That's a pretty immature statement. Considering the growing handful of jobless drug abusing teenagers is more suitable a ' loser' rank I believe. I kind of take offense. But anyway, the Burger has it's cliches, same regulars. The beer is cold, I promise. The food isn't bad, but I would suggest breakfast over dinner, the morning cooks do their job well. Though dinner isn't too bad, pizza great- ask for it a little well done and it's perfect. Definetly an ancient building, but it has an antique character to it, not so much fancy, but a nice place for casual dining, and WAY cheaper than the Nickel. I would advise actually trying their food first, obviously it's not going to kill you- that's why they have food inspection afterall.

I used to play guitar there back in the 90's cute little bartender, I think her name was Bev. Always took care of me. I played mild mexican waltz music. Much like the kind that Al Capone used to listen to while spending time in the Eastern State Penn in PA. I was quite the ax thrashing mexican sex pistol. Always got any lady in there that I wanted. Choice picks too! Nothing over 180lbs ever. I could walk into that place, grab a doods beer right off the bar in front of him, take a swig, slam it back down, kiss his woman, open my guitar case, and own the night. Sure, I got punched a few times, thrown through that big picture window, but it was what it was. I'd get all kinds of whiskey bent and hell bound and they would just drag me upstairs to one of their rooms. The rooms were much nicer than Dante's Inferno in Texas. Not a single roach. I'd wake up most mornings in a pool of my own blood, sweat, puke and piss, and go down stairs, order a scrapple sandwich and do it all over again. I LOVE THE PLACE. If you're interested in my current show locations, Time square, weekly, on the street. I'm now a homeless drunk and I have herpes and shingles. Hope to see you soon!
