From a different article:

“In the 17 years we’ve been monitoring the ocean through hydrophone recordings, we’ve never seen a swarm or earthquakes in an area such as this,” said Robert Dziak, a marine geologist with Oregon State University.“We’re not certain what it means.”

According to the OSU directory, the "idiot" you are looking for is an Associate Professor of Geology. Not someone who is going to make a mistake in terminology.

The term swarm is used properly. What is concering is that this area contains a thrust fault capable of creating a tsunami.

It's a more impressive credential than being an anoymous poster on a message board, and far from being an'idiot' as first labeled.

Obviously you know NOTHING aboug geological information re: earthquakes....try looking up on the USGS Earthquakes website...(that's UNITED STATES GEOLOGICAL SURVEY) to you....dufus.....and do a little reading before you open your mouth....pull up Puerto Rico on the website...(if you know how)...and just LOOK at the number of earthquakes they are having there....and WAA-LAA...you get the big picture...."swarm".. ..in the inner circle of people who know....it means LOTS OF SMALL EARTHQUAKES...in a small area....

some people are soooooo stupid...
