Sounds like someone snitched. That's great!! We need more snitches in NN. To those who called crime line thanks for not buying into the "no snitching" mentality.
I'd like to see more arrests in this case. Specifically, the driver of the van. Plus if it can be proven he was provided with the gun rather than he stole it that person needs to be looked for also.
To the 14 year old. Maybe if YOU snitch on those that helped you commit this crime your life will not be ruined forever.

This guy has no idea what life is he is a kid, and thats the sad part. They know what they are doing but have no idea of the consequences, or turmoil that comes after the crimes.

White or black; Charge this worthless THUG as an adult w/ every possible crime you can!!! So Notplead it down. He cannot...does not want to be rehabilitated. He knew what he did was wrong. He attempted to kill this poor old woman for money.

Fry him or prison 4 life w/o parole. He is all tough now. Hope the adults enslave him!

He was laughing about this b4 he got caught...screw him HARD literally!

On this thread, your screen name contadicts your post X2. I was 14 & I knew better than to attempt to kill & rob some woman. He is a THUG COWARD & should be fried or locked up 4 life.

This could have been my mom...or any of our moms, sister, wife, etc!

Its great that they got him, now lets see if he gets what he deserves. Is it just me who is wondering why, at the age of 14 (and its not 2008 yet), is he in middle school? Maybe I'm too old but I thought most kids turn 14 the last half of their 8th grade year or the 1st half of their freshman year. Sounds like poor parenting is involved in this case for sure.

I bet you that within a week or two, the kid will be released from the detention center and turned back over to his parents.

I believe it is poor parenting. Just for comparison, I was 14 when I started my freshman year of high school.

Middle School ages range from 12 to 15 for a 7th grader. Depends on if you failed a grade/grades.
