As a shipyard employee I have always felt an obligation to help my fellow employees in time of need . But not anymore . Over the years I have covered for and donated leave for family deaths childbirth and the like which has never returned to my conscience until today. I donated leave to a fellow employee for a family death a few months back.. And get the word from a reliable source that he didn't want to come back because he hated this job and had almost the whole summer off. Really ? your welcome. Next time you want to use a family death to take 4 months off save up your leave and use it. Dot ask for donations from me .. I may need mine one day. Jerk !!!!!

My friend, your good intention will return to you and that other fellow will reap what he sowed.
Have faith and remember YOU did what was right.
One day we all will answer for our actions...good or bad.

I like to think that but with 20 years at that yard I haven't seen it or anything return to the ones who deserve it. If a guy can't do his job well he gets promoted . Or made Forman . Dont get me wrong I am thankful for my job. And I'm not disgruntled. But leave don't come easy. And this guy used a death to work on sympathy of people to have the whole damn summer off ?! And his supervisor was going around begging for him. What what her interests where?? Oh well.

That is a lie. I have always been good and honest. I still get the short end of the stick. I think Robin had the right idea.

Rewards are not always instantaneous. Bitterness will make you physically ill and that is not a reward you want to deal with.
