I have been told that print out of posts to Parson's Blog will be made available to the public beginning tomorrow afternoon at 3:00 p.m. after school lets out. If you want to get your hands on them - some will be left at the Newport library. Some will be left at Central Office at 8th and Washington. Some will be left at other places that will be disclosed as I become aware of them.

To get admitted to the blog you have to sacrifice a virgin. Since there aren't too many around here only a few people have been allowed to join the closed blog group. Luckily, there was a virgin around my wife's friend's house and they caught her, so at least one person I know got on.

"closed blog group???" So much for bringing transparency to school operations. Not even on the board yet and already acting as mysterious as Freemasons?

What does this have to do with Ft. Thomas Topix?

Uh...if you haven't noticed - most of Campbell and Kenton county Topix are cross-linked. Proof Ft. Thomas IQs are lower than Newport IQs.

Is the blog going to be posted openly online somewhere? Or are they just going medieval and nailing the theses to the doors of the church?

From what I understand copies have been given to certain Board members and left out for the public. The Parsons don't want the public to have access, so leaking is the only way the posts will become known.

I don't think it would be wise for the Newport Deep Throat (Parsons Blog leak) to post anything to the web -- might get a few people sued for defamation. Apparently the people who posted weren't very smart and their identities are known.

Newport Citizens have a right to be proud of their schools. For a detailed analysis of the progress our schools are making, visit newportwildcats.org to see the press releases about test scores. Or you can go to the Central Office for help interpreting the data. All in all, when one considers the allocation of resources, expansion of programs and dedication of the staff, Newport Schools excel beyond their neighbors, including Fort Thomas.

Considering 60% of the entire County's Section 8 Housing is crammed into Newport, the schools have an uphill climb trying to teach kids whose parents don't teach them at home. They've don't a lot for the kids who want to learn. As for those who don't, I don't blame the schools, I blame their dumbass parents. There's a direct correlation between poverty and illiteracy and delinquency. If some of the "wealth" of Section 8 were distributed fairly elsewhere in the County, those districts would feel the pain too, and might feel a little less smug about their stats. It's about time Newport got a break.

By the way, are you aware of how many heroin overdoses have occurred at Campbell County HS in recent years. Remind yourself of that when you're feeling superior about your suburban schools.

Funny that you call it suburban. Where I come from we call it "country." Suburban isn't when hillbillies move into new developments.

OK so where is the infamous blog....ha ha something made up be someone or it would be posted on here...what do I smell something fishy a set up maybe??
...As for the Parsons I think they definately are hand fed what to say and how to say it by the "almighty Mccafferty" so he can align himself up for the Superintendent spot when Brant spends all the money and goes off on his retirement!! Sheffels is right along their coat tails and probably belives in Mccafferty's bullsh$$- they all 3 live in the "Mildred Dean Dream World" and will probably NEVER send their kids to the middle or high school... but can I say it is better than Rummell "the mute" can he actually talk or hear??? Janovic well just watch a board meeting on the Newport Channel (oh yeah I forgot they fired that guy after I heard the meetings were getting a little "heated") she is a Brant cult member - she sits up there throwing around her "lawyer jargon" acting important...when she is just aggreeing with Brant but secretly does not want anyone to know also I might ad if none of these people were on the board their kids will be out of the Newport schools so fast their heads would spin......Morrow-Smith can I just say she has NO idea about he kids in Newport - she lives in "Mansion Hill" need I say more....Crank - wow she got a great paying job the day after the election (how ironic) with the school board to let Molone in !!! gee how convenient!!! Uslemann ha ha he thinks everything is funny he needs to wipe that Sh$$ eating grin off his face and quit kissing a$$ with the higher ups...come on speak up or get out...We need someone that will and can be held accountable for the reason Newport kids are being short changed in their education - Newport can spend and spend and try to reason it but until our test scores come up they wont convince the citizens we are improving!!!

I have access to the blog. Not material that I would post here unless I wanted my ass fried by a lawsuit. If you don't have access - refer to the virgin posts. You may be shit out of luck.

Multiple degrees WHO CARES I am sure the citizens of Newport have seen what "multiple degrees" have given us in the past - NOTHING!!! but a school that has NO MONEY and is NOT educating the kids up to state standards...Hell I would rather have a red neck hillbilly on the board if they can figure out how to unscrew all the screwed up finances and the test results that sound good but if you really look at the whole picture we are in the last 5% of the State of Ky ( and that might be pushing it)....get a grip look at the big picture MORON - you cant fool every what you think "lowlife as referred to above in your post" there are some well maybe lots of people that want change - A college degree or maybe even a few of them does not impress me!!! I have a few of them myself!!! As for Usleman he can kiss all the butts he wants but he is still a buffoon in my eyes.

Does this blog exist and if so does anyone know where? Is it true or a rumor?
The Board of Education holds a lot of power and I think we have figured out that what we have now is not working. As far as I can tell no one has ever been able to figure out where the money has gone to. Any question thrown out to the school board gets side stepped and you go around in circles and it comes back to your original question and here we go again on the merry go round. Do I support the Parsons? I don't know yet. Do I respect and trust the Board Members we have? Not at all. The thing is we have some problems and we have someone willing to step up and run for the school board - and with everything that has came about this year only three people have stepped up to that plate. If you are truly satisfied with the school board members currently on board by all means vote for them. If not, then the three people who have decided to try to make a change should be given a chance. Two of my kids went to Mildred Dean and I don't think that made them feel superior to the other students in the school district. Actually one of my kids went into the gifted program at A. D. Owens. Another one of my daughters went to A. D. Owens for all her elementary schooling and was in the gifted program. It's true that Newport has a lot of kids that don't have the parental support they need. But let's face it we're not the only school in the state of Kentucky who lack parental support and guidance, yet we're rated #75.
In case it isn't common knowledge the board meetings are not televised - yes the person in charge of that was fired - but anyone can be trained by Insight to tape the meetings and submit to be aired.
Everyone needs to work together to make our schools something we are proud of.

Taping the meetings is easy - it is broadcasting them that takes the know-how. If anyone can do that - get them to approach Brandt to do it.

As for Mildred Dean - their scores are going DOWN. Why? I thought the Great McCafferty was the "genius" at Mildred Dean - guess he's been too busy coaching the Parsons to care about his school?

Ask Parsons about the blog and see what they say. They only want their hand-picked groupies to have access because public access would expose them for what they are - and expose the district employees who are up to no good behind the scenes. They'll sit tight on the blog. When they come to your door, or at the candidates night when they are approached by the public - ask them about it and ask how to get on it. If they lie and say there is no blog - they'll get kicked in the teeth because too many people have seen the blog who'll be at those candidate events waiting to see what they say. Not all who have access to the blog are loyal to the Parsons.
