I am going to go out on a limb here and either make everyone mad or just begin a discussion. I may be wrong but here it goes.....

If one is truly Muslim and truly pro-Muslim ... How can one be pro- military.

I hear all day on the radio how the Muslim leaders say that the Muslim faith does not condone violence. War/Military sometimes has to be violent (hence the war) whether we like that or not.

So.. why would our government allow someone with anti-military views be in the military?

Wouldn't we question a southern baptist's motives for wanting to work at an abortion clinic?

Strange we want gays to report their gayness to the military.. I love my country but we are a strange strange strange people.

We are so afraid to offend people that we don't protect the rest? There are so many families who are mourning the senseless death of their loved ones today. There are so many people who will have to live with this tragedy the rest of their lives. Let's man up America... we need to make sense!

Relgious freedom or blatant ignorance?

We are strange, strange people. I would not want to serve beside someone who does not truly believe they should be there. Someone can not be discriminated against because of race or religion. I understand the Army paid for his education, but if he is truly Muslim - why would he compromise his beliefs for an education? It is a tragedy that he took so many innocent lives and damaged so many others. Why? Because he didn't want to deploy? Don't enlist - you know the risks when you sign up.
Of course, he will get an attorney that will claim diminished capacity or some other crock to try and get him less time or off. What about the victims and their families? America should demand justice for those that put their lives on the line to ensure our freedom.

Sorry, I was a little windy.

It's hard to get any time when you kill yourself. Do they know this guys really had Muslim beliefs or is this just another one of the medias attempts to gather some redneck support? If our military was filled with people who believe that these wars are a good idea then I'd move to Canada aye. If you understand the events that led us to where we are now you have to be a pretty sick person to still support these wars. The innocent foreign lives outweigh those we lost by a long shot. If that's winning then congratulations. Of course it's not because they still have other motives. Not to mention the rights being lost here and to quote Benjamin Franklin "They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety." If you're pro-life then you shouldn't support sending our poor young adults in to a war that isn't helping our country.

You might feel edgy as the sensitive Moon remains in your second house of personal values and finances.
