Is there a reason the senseless homocide that occured Oct 10 -(over prostitution@the Brass Ass club)has not been published anywhere to date?

If the tourism image is that important shouldn't someone care that the vic was a tourist himself?

How do you know this even happen if it was not on the news? That's what I would like to know! Because people start alot of rumors in Newport ad unless you was there you really have no clue if it's true or not.

NEWPORT – A 23-year-old Erlanger man died after he was stabbed during a fight at the Brass Mule early Saturday.
Corey Kessnick died at St. Luke Hospital East in Fort Thomas from multiple stab wounds, said Newport Police Chief Robbie Hall.
Newport officers were called to the strip club at 613 Monmouth St. about 3 a.m. Saturday for a report man that had been assaulted. When they arrived they found Kessnick on the floor bleeding. There were at least two other people injured, including Kessnick’s brother.
Kessnick was taken to St. Luke where he died.
Officers questioned everyone at the club and arrested Brian J. Lemons, 24. Lemmons admitted to officers that he stabbed Kessnick twice in the back, Hall said. Lemons was being held Monday on $1 million bond at the Campbell County jail.

they like to keep it all hush hush due to the article last week saying how crime is down in Newport - get a scanner people and check out some of the crap that goes on - not just the lies they publish in the paper!

be aware if you listen to the scanner always listen to the last transmission. The Officers may say advised which means there was no crime. And if the say report that usually means 5 out of 10 times there really wasn't a crime it usually is to get another person in trouble or insurance fraud. Newport does have real crime once in a while. As for those stats, they are mandated by the state which passes them on the the FBI (F***ing Bunch of Idiots). In every major city you have padded stats which mean they show more crime than what is really going on due to man power and grant moneys. Newport is well under staffed and most Newport citizens should ask that both the Fire Department and Police be manned to full staff. It's you life on the line not theirs. As for the murder 99% of the time the Police have no clue what happens until after someone pulls it off. But 3 murders in 5 years that is a great job by the Newport Police Department especially for their location right next to Cincinnati. Good job NPD!

I wonder if the NPD will investigate the Brass Ass (and the other clubs owned by Roger Peterson) for PROSTITUTION. It would not be the first time that he and his wife Mina have been busted for this.

N.P.D. stop the S.T.D.s A.S.A.P!

The Bra$$ A$$ shouldn't be serving liquor--When Newport adopted the anti-nude dancing ordinances they stopped the combination of nudity and alcohol sales. The Bra$$ A$$ gave up its liquor license to keep the dancing girls. They can get into BIG trouble if they are serving liquor, allowing full nudity or promoting prostitution.
They need to be investigated also.

The Brass Ass has poor lighting for a very good reason--ugly, skanky crack hoes who will turn a trick for a dime or a drug. These are sad women who are too dumb to work at McDonald's. I guarantee you that they are not dancing to "pay their way through college". They are just looking to turn a trick to support their drug habit.
Get them off the pole and off the streets of Newport!

Ps. I am deeply saddened by this horrible tragedy and I will pray for Corey's family.+

Is anyone surprised that the owner has denied any connection to the murder and to prove it he has continued to employ both of the women involved.

Maybe they should get their jobs back. Afterall is there really any one better for a prostitution front business?

If you think about it, the odds are really in the favor of these girls of causing another murder since their last murder to date(at least known of) just took place and since probably only 50% only cause murder, STD's, or prison only the latter two are at risk whereas a replacement would be at much higher risk at the former.

Good luck NK-because it is not like it is only Newport that has all of these brothels still operating from the 50's as "clubs>"

Call me bitter if you will, but I got my ex to confess to his "happy endings" in the lap dance booths operating in Newport, Covington, and Wilder.

You know one way to shut this place down is for everyone to go somewhere else!
