1 year old male Pitbull free - black and white. He is full blooded but I do not have papers for him. He is very gentle but hates cats. Gets along well with other dogs and loves kids.

Anyone who has a Pit is ignorant. Its like having POSION around your children , may never get opened but its there ! Or are you the stupid one who must have at least

Just saying, I have a pit in my home. My kids play with him daily. My 1 year old feeds him french fries, straight out of her hand. My pit is 10 years old has never bit anyone. Sleeps by our pet cat. Only barks when a stranger is in our yard. We take him out for walks on a leash. He has never growled at anyone while we were out walking. It is the way you raise them. He is the most protective dog I have ever had. Get your facts straight. The only reason pits are deadly is 1) the way they are raised and 2) if they were to bite, they lock their jaws, something they cant help.
A chow is more dangerous of a dog breed to have than a pit. I had one for 4 years and she turned mean, had to put her to sleep after she bit someone. We raised her kust like we have our pit.

Smart a$$!! I said HE only barks when a stranger is in our yard. Do I need to throw in he also walks around our house at night going to each of our kids rooms, and mine/wife's room? When my kids were babies he would even whine at us each time one of them cried. Protective yes, I would say so.

I don't know why ppl try and give pits a bad name. They are punishing the wrong end of the leash. I have an American Pit Bull Terrier and A Gotti Pit Pup. They are both loveable and they have never growled or bit anyone at all. My children loves them and they love my children. Any pit that will set back and let the kid do whatever they want is a damn good pit. Punish the deed, not the breed. My pits are social butterflies and they have changed a lot of ppl's attitudes toward pits. Just saying.

are unwilling to admit theses dogs have it in them !!!!! you blind fool its not how you raise them ! its what has been bread within them ! THEY ARE PIT ! wow how often
would simple minded words have to be told to this generation of .....people . EXAMPLE: a freiend had a Pit from six weeks old to mature, one day his little 3 year old who had the dog around him ! in the house ! from begining was out on the drive
the little boy stepped on the Pits toe nail *AND THE INSTINCT WITHIN THE PIT CAUSED HIM TO SNAP THE CHILD ! tearing from his ear to his chin ! wake up people . Its in them to be so . And how many times will simple words have to be said ? I dont actually think its about your child , i think its about you ! I truly believe you would sacrifice your childs saefty so you can have your Pit ! And i believe all will agree.

ANY dog will turn on you.. do you know pitbulls have a better temperament than labs.. they are just more powerful. I've always had pits along with other dogs but they have been the most loving out of the other breeds.. do you know why people choose to fight them? Bc they are eager to please their master and eager to learn..but very strong...

It is ignorant people who have never owned a pit that call them kid killers. I had never owned one until I married my wife. I will say I will never trust another breed of dog like I do my pit. You have your opinion. I have mine. I would never put a dog before my children. Yes, I would shoot my dog straight between the eyes if he ever looked at my children the wrong way.

[Red nose gator pit]

We have 2 pits. They playful dogs had them since they were puppies. Red nose is 4 yrs old gator is yr old. It's the owner not dog that makes them mean. They are part of our family.
