The doctors and staff were incompetent, rude, and condescending. They did not provide what I needed during my service at this hospital. I do not recommend that anyone take their pets to this hospital. One staff member even took it upon herself to tell me how I should be reprimanding my own daughter. The people in this facility are completely out of line, and this business should be boycotted. I suggested that they work on their customer service, which is when one staff member got very close to my face and began to tell me about how I was caring for my children, which was absolutely none of her business. She also told me I was "not allowed" to talk about her doctor a certain way. As far as I know, free speech is an ammendment in the US Constitution. Do not go to this hospital unless you want to be treated like a dog.

I totally agree, I was really pleased when I found we were going to have a vet close by. I was sadly dissapointed. If you do not go by her suggestions she lets you know she does not like this. I am talking about not life threating issues such as the flea contol you use and the brand of food if you do not purchase what she carries. Her staff does seem to be inexperienced.
I think she forgets we are paying her for her services. I will not be going back.

I love the new vet and the staff in Moreland. I have never had the veterinarian call me in the evening or the weekend to check on my pet after surgery nor someone who spent time (30 mins)talking to me about the best flea/tick product or food for my pet. Its nice to have someone that actually cares about my animal's long term health. I,too, will bring all of my animals and encourage others to do the same.

To the individual that wrote the initial post: you just sound angry about life. You mentioned nothing about the care that was given to your pet.

I am pleased to have a Vet office on the Southern end of Coweta County. I am also pleased with the care and caring received and will continue to recommend Moreland Animal Hospital and Dr.Andrews. I totally disagree with the above 2 posts and I would hope that anyone reading this would take your animals to Moreland Animal Hospital and form your own positive opinions. Its unfortunate the above comments seem very vindictive and spitful. I am a very satisfied client.

I think that the staff at Moreland Animal Hospital is very courteous, knowledgeable, and welcoming. I have used every vet in the Newnan area and Dr. Andrews is by far one of the best I have experienced. When my dog had an ear infection, she called the next couple of days to check on him and to ensure that he was progressing well. I think the posters above are just bitter people that wouldnt find the good in anything. Please dont let their review deter you from making an informed opinion of your own. Give Moreland Animal Hospital a chance to win you over on their own merit.

I am amazed at the negative comments. I drive over 50 miles to Dr. Nicole because of her ability to treat my pets. I have a cat who is allergic to everything and until I found Dr. Nicole she was miserable. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. Never have I felt pushed to use particular products. We've always had a discussion as to what is best for my pets. I agree with Realistic --- don't let the negative comments keep you away from a caring, competent vet!

We appreciate not only having a vet here on the southside of Coweta county, but also that the vet at Moreland Animal Hospital cares enough for our pets to call us after hours and on Saturday to make sure we are following treatment, and that the pet is progressing. Dr. Andrews and her staff are kind, competent, and careful to give the best care to our pets, all three of them. Of course, we always have the correct paperwork necessary for treatment, and are courteous to her and the staff. Perhaps the person who put the initial post up back in July did not have an interest in getting the job done correctly, but only wanted the job done, even though paperwork was missing.

I am new to the Newnan area, Dr. Andrews and her staff were beyond my expectations. The quality of care given to my dog was great. Dr. Andrews kept me informed daily of his progress and he did spend many days at the hospital battling a bad case of hook worms and something else I cant pronounce. I truly thought my dog was not going to leave the hospital. Dr. Andrews worked her magic as I call it and I now have my little buddy back home. She guided me on the the care for my dog during and after the visit. I suggest to anyone reading this should to take your pet to the Moreland Animal Hospital.

My experience with Dr. Andrews and her staff was exceptional. They were professional, courteous, caring and gentle with our cat who had an injury, and very instructive about how to care for it. They were way past my expectations of a veterinarian in terms of interacting with the pet owners, and handling of the animals I saw.

I worked for a great vet office in Buckhead many years ago, three incredibly talented Doctors then. Dr. Andrews is certainly their equal in skill and knowledge and 'bedside manner'. They are in business to make a living, and while I was there, they made sure that caring for their patients and customers was the number one priority in that business.

IF YOU ACT LIKE AN IMBECILE BE EXPECTED TO GET TREATED LIKE ONE!!!!!!
When I read this post you offended me and I do not work there! My family does and I waas about to tell you where you can shove it!!!!!!! Than i realized you must be one of those " Ms. Know It All" and got your feelings hurt because you were pretty much told you dont know jack shit. They have the degrees, you dont. You prpbably let ur animals eat table food too. Well if they tell you that how your caring for your pet is wrong than here is an idea THEIR PROBABLY RIGHT!!!!!! They are tryiong to keep your animal safe happy and healthy. Id you dont like it than go somewhere else. But DO NOT judge the whole office and practice becasue you had one bad experience with one person up there. In other words get off your high horse its not about you its about your animal. As far as your daughter goes if she was mis behaving and mistreating an animal she should get scolded. This is a business not a play ground. They dont need a lawsuit on their hands cause your child does not know how to behave in public!!! As far as freedom of speech goes well I guess the person who told you about your child has the freedom of speech right too.!!!!!!!

I have had many encounters with this vet hospital. My dog had surgery there and both the dr. And staff did a great job with her. I had another dog that needed to be put to sleep. The staff and doc. were very caring and supportive. I will take any animal there. My perception of care is based on my needs at the time. Hard to hit a home run each time, but the science is there. My seven year old granddaughter was able to put her lifetime companion to sleep with their help. Thank you to all the staff and dr. Andrews for helping when we needed it most.

1. constiution only relates to government stopping your right to free speech ... vets are not covered.

2. Dr. Nichol is worth driving a distance for. She is talented, and cares a LOT about her patients and their owners. I wish we had found her sooner when we had our last cat. She has cared quite well for our 2 yr old cat, and did amazing work with the dog-attacked 12yr old we adopted from her hospital. the reaction the staff had to the original poster tells me they are fiercely loyal to Dr. Nichol, which also speaks well of her.

3. It is truly unfortunate that the OP had such a distasteful experience ... is does seem to be unusual and not Moreland Animal Hosital's normal performance.

Dear Ms Oliver- I would like to clear up some facts that you left out on your review of myself and MAH. For starters, you have not been to my clinic since 2010 for a physcial exam on your pet. A pet ages 7yrs to our 1yr in age. A lot of physcial, metobolic and endocrine changes can occur over 3 years or in dog years 21 years. You had an appointment scheduled in January of 2012 and you chose not to bring your pet in based off of what you are saying a receptionist said was okay that your dog passed a stone and you told me you called other vet clinics and they said not to come in; however, you also told me that your dog has been having blood in the urine over the past year and before the initial appointment you cancelled in January 2012. At some point did it not occur to you that this was not normal and you should talk to a veterinarian in person after a physcial exam had been performed whether it was me or another vet in town?? Even if you had gone to the internet for answers, the internet would have told you to take your pet in for an exam and an urinalysis. At some point you do have to take some responsiblity for the ownership and health of your pet. I would also like to remind you that I gave you 50% off of the xray we took of your pet to diagnose the bladder full of stones and I offered you at that time a payment plan on the surgery and at the time of euthanasia I offered you a payment plan for the surgery with your husband and my technician standing in the room. You and your husband declined the offer of a payment plan which would have saved your pet and had a good prognosis of 3-5 years of quality life left. You stated to me several times the reason for not doing the surgery was a financial decision which I was trying to work with because this was your family member. Would your pet still been at risk for forming more stones? Yes, and that is where a new diet plan comes into play in order to reduce the risk of more stone formation which I also spoke to you about the day you came into the clinic on 4/15/13 and I diagnosed the bladder stones. As far as laughing at time of euthanasia, there was none and you know that. I stated to you just like I do to all my clients that hitting the vein and staying in the vein is the hardest part of this process. The vein was hit immediately and your pet passed very quickly and peacefully. If you remember, my technician and your husband were in the room. You also seemed to forget that I was crying at the end with you. I carried your pet and walked you both to the door and again, apologized for your loss and said please let us know if we can do anything else. There was no shoving you out the door. We have also sent a sympathy card to you that all of the staff and myself put thought and time into writing a note in there for you and your family.
I feel that the comments you have made are slandering and hurtful to me as a person not only as a veterinarian. I am human. I stayed up worrying about you and your pet the night before trying to come up with a way to help you afford the surgery and get your pet healthy and home. I am sorry that by your memory you visit was not what you had in mind, but in no way am I or my staff insensitive or uncaring. If anything we care way too much, which is why your comments are so hurtful to me personally. Wish you and your family the very best. Dr. Andrews
