How long before someone is killed in one of those drunken brawls that seem to happen every weekend out there? There have already been at least 2 people critically injured in the past few months. Not to mention over half the DUIs in the county are coming from there. It's good to see they are doing great business but shouldn't some of these people be cut off before they get so out of hand? I always thought bartenders/owners had that responsibility.

nothing good ever happens at a bar. NOTHING. But, hey it's tax revenue, right?

my son got a dui leaving there.one of the off duty policeman call and had him picked up soon as he left.granted he was drunk. i told him i would have sued them simply becausr they are suppose to cut him off at some point.especially an off duty policeman who was working there that night.who made the call.

Ha ha, its always someone else's fault, not the person consuming alcohol
Maybe they should have warning labels on the beer and liquor that reads " Warning to much and you will get drunk"

No personal responsibility anymore.

the officer doesn't have the authority to tell someone to stop drinking especially since he doesn't know if the subject was a driver or passenger. when he saw the subject get in the drivers seat he acted as he could. he didnt have the means to stop him physically so he alerted on duty officers in marked cars to deal with the public safety threat

the bartender is the one who is suppose to cut someone off. or the waitress.not security. he should never have gone there . it was his own fault.but the establishmwnt does have a responcability to limit drinks to someone already drunk.

What about the guys (and gals) who can down 10 beers and get up and walk normal to their car and drive away drunk.
No, a bartender WILL cut someone off who is sloppy drunk but that is not the whole picture.
If you want to go this route then everyone should be mandated by law to only 2 drinks or beers in a bar, or the bar must have a breathalizer so someone must prove they are not drunk before having another drink, silly isn't it? A bartender cannot keep up with how much every person is drinking, they only know if someone is sloppy drunk.
You are drinking it, YOU are responsible.

Your son will find another place to drink in J&H's closes. I am sorry to hear that he may have a drinking problem.

J&H is a great place to have a beer or 3. If the individual don't know when or how to cut himself off, he/she shouldn't be drinking in the first place. If you know your son is a drunk and gets sloppy, why don't or why didn't y'all seek some treatment? Everybody wants to blame someone else. If everyone accepted their own responsibilities this country wouldn't be in half the crap we are in. I've gone to J&H for years and I have had more issues at walmart or waffle house than there.

And if you've never been, J&H has the best bar food in Newnan. It don't matter if you eat the wings or crayfish tails, burgers or bbq, beer boiled shrimp or chicken bacon ranch wrap... you won't be disappointed and the food is inexpensive and you don't have to sit at the bar. They have an area where you can and I do take my family to eat without drinking alcoholic beverages.

Don't blame others for your son's drinking problem, you are to blame for the way he grew up. If you are that concerned about your son (and you should be) then go with him and make sure he leaves safely.

I really dont care that they have no more smoking in the bars and resturant but what does bother me is that the chrildren are allowed in the bar area with the parents drinking having a good time and then leaving with their chrildren in the back seats of the cars and worse than that I saw a baby in an infant seat not older than 6 to 8 months sitting on the front table under one of the huge speakers while mom was singing Kareoke I bet that child will be deaf before he starts school I think all chrildren should be contained to the resturant seating area of the bar/ grille / resturant. It just dont make sence to me to make adults go outside to smoke in a bar so that chrildren can be allowed
and No I don't smoke

Seems like alot of parents want to still have the fun they had before they were parents. Kinda tells you where their priorities are.

hmmmm, perhaps the county officials have a connection with J & H. I know for a fact the bar makes a habit of giving out free liquor shots. Why would they do that.. liquor costs money, why give it away unless....

dui prosecutions make a good bit of revenue for the county.

Shame on J & H for giving shots away to folks that clearly don't need any more alcohol and shame on the folks who drive after indulging!

I have never been to J&H but it is a well known fact in Newnan that the police set up a dui sting right up the road on a regular basis for the sole purpose of catching J&H patrons as they leave. You already know what's waiting for you. Drink all you want, but then call a cab. Helluva lot cheaper than a DUI.
