Could you please tell me what park your children were playing in near where the police shot these dogs? Apparently you do not know as much as you think you do actually if I were a betting man I would say you are the idiotic owner of these dogs. There is no park any where near the victims home, and it was at the victims home that the attack on the child and family dog occurred. And it was the Horse's home that the dogs attacked a defenseless horse, in his stall. It's amazing that people believe info just because it's what the Police release! Maybe you would like to pay for the bullets they could have fired at the dogs and could have hit my kids playing in the park nearby.
1) An 11 yr old boy should know better than to approach a strange dog if the parents raised him correctly. 2) Since you don't know the owner OR his dogs, you have no idea what happened or the actual nature of the dogs. 3) Just because they are pit bulls is not a valid reason to ASSUME they are bad natured. Do you even know they aren't even listed as the most violent of all dog breeds? 4) Hope your dog never runs off and the Over-empowered police don't murder them. I guess every dog that runs away should be murdered, right?
I would think that the police in Millcreek should be spending time trying to arrest the people that have been robbing cars, stealing cars, leaving drug paraphernalia lying in the streets, and polluting the town with graffiti and trash, as has been the norm in the township lately. But nope, they want to take the opportunity to fire their guns at animals instead of fighting a true crime. Amazing that they haven't made any arrests in these crimes, but I guess that's why they have time to sit at the Hess Station and eat donuts. And that's not a stereotype either. Drive by, they are always there. Tax-payer money at it's best.
BY using your logic, you should have known better than to park your vehicles on the street where they could be broken into. It does not matter what the "actual nature of those dogs" were, it only matters what the nature of the dogs were the day of the attack. The dog that caused most of the injuries was not a puppy, according the the owners that dog was rescued "from an abusive home" there for the dog knew violence thus making it more likely to turn on a human.
Since you have kids, exactly what would you opinion be if it was your child these two dogs jumped, what if it was your childs face you saw in the dogs mouth, what if it were your child screaming for help, I doubt you would be sticking up for these dogs if your children had been involved. No one is blaming the dogs, however the owner should be held responsible, he should be charged with assault with a deadly weapon. but you know what, instead of manning up, the owner is saying "hey, they weren't my dogs" he is letting his wife take the wrap...wow, what a man.
