Remember the Primary is May 19th, vote BOYER, GARDENER, HOUTZ and MARK!

They are all independent thinkers and have a vested interest in ELCO. They each have their own area of expertise and interest. They care about the education of our children and will work hard for the residents. They have vowed to listen to the residents of this district and make informed decisions.

Answers and Lies ...

Why are we in such a hurry to get this project started and avoiding a referendum vote?
Answers: Because it is very unpopular and the residents of ELCO do not want it. Also, if it was put to the public for a vote, it would get voted down.
Lies: To save money and take advantage of the down economy we gotta keep moving full speed ahead.

Why are the renovation costs higher than the new building costs?
Answers: They're not. The District is afraid of a second opinion and other input because then the new clustering concept (which has been proven to be a bad idea) wouldn't be possible. And if you look at the State averages for renovations and new buildings, the costs per square foot always comes back lower for renovations.
Lies: These are good solid numbers and Crabtree is the expert.

Why close Schaefferstown?
Answer: No "real reason" shared in public and every time the District comes up with a reason, it is proven false. Renovation is possible without public sewer and it would be eligible for reimbursement from the State. Expansion would be possible after the sewer comes to S.Town in a few years. And at that time, the expansion project would be eligible for reimbursement.
Lies: There's a mold problem. If you add central AC, you'll get a rain forest growing inside the stone walls. Septic system could fail any day. Can't renovate and get reimbursement without sewer.(all of these lies were stated by current school board members either in public or in one-on-one conversations.

Why do we need to expand?
Answer: No "real reason", and it's not about growth.
Lies: Growth baby growth.

Seriously, to SOS or someone who can answer this without twisting the words around. Is the fight to "Save Our Schools" really going to change anything now that they are ready to break ground? Once they break ground, it's over, isn't it?
What really happens when the elections take place and ground has been broken? I see the signs for elections (where can I get one?) I, as well as other supporters, would like to know what happens next? Ground broken, school gets built, then what? The people running for school board, is your interest going to go beyond "Saving the School?" Is the fight still worth fighting for? That question is not meant to be sarcastic?

Even if ground is broken and it is too late to save the community schools, are the current members really the type of people you want representing you?(Based on past actions and behavior.) I would rather have board members who are receptive to public opinion, and open about their thoughts, ideas, and problems they are facing. Not board members who just believe that they know better what is good for the masses.

I believe the fight to save the two neglected elementary schools lasts until the district actually breaks ground. Several steps remain before that ACTUALLY happens. Now fighting for a better educational system and community based education last much longer.

The 4 SOS backed candidates have vowed to listen to district residents, share information with the community, and work to improve the overall educational system at ELCO. Based on their individual vested interest in this district and the community, they WILL make informed decisions.

If you want a sign email your name and address to elcosos@gmail.com and we'll make sure a sign appears in your yard.

Thanks for the support and see you on election day, or sooner.
