It would make far more sense if we'd just do what they do in the Netherlands; legalize it - tax it, monitor it. Keep it 'above ground' where it can be kept an eye on.

I find it hard to believe that a boy would be tramatized by having sex with an older woman.
And how come I always got the straight laced teachers when I was in school?

Wow! Our "tax" dollars hard at work!!!

Okay, let me get this straight. Bernake and the FED bailed out Wall St. banks to the tune of billions and we're paying for it in higher gas and cost of living prices. This along with GW Bush's illegal occupation of Iraq costing use another cool billion.
What does local "Law Enforcement" do? Go after those "horrible" hookers working CL. Gee, I feel so much safer now. See you on the bread lines dummies!

``Did you see the pics of these''

Yeah, I saw them. 2 out 3 ain't bad. These are mug shots, who ever looks good in mug shots? AND one is pretty cute even in the mug shot.

These girls are just trying to make a living or trying to pay for a drug habit. Who else is going to help them? The economy is shot. The Repugnicants cut off aid for drug rehabs and even if you do have a job, it's probably just a Mc-Job that can't pay the bills.

The time is long due for society to decriminalize prostitution. Let the cops go after robbers and murderers and get them the heck out of our bed rooms!

Interesting.
These ‘chicas’ were from a number of different Central Valley same towns.
One each from Fresno, Turlock, and Stockton.
*AND* they were using the internet (Craigslist) to market their wares.

I can’t help but wonder if they were ‘freelancing’ or if they have pimps?
Are they being ‘run’ by individual pimps or by an organization?
Which organization?

Prostitution goes hand-in-hand with illegal drugs.

HHHHhhhmmmmmm ….which organization(s) run prostitutes and drugs in the central valley…..hhhhhmmmmm….let me think…..

Prostitution is NOT a victimless crime ESPECIALLY when the proceeds are funneled back to the gangs.

I completely agree that these women need to be off the street, it would be really nice if we could offer them some real help....the reality of it all is that ......we now have spent all this money for the police to hunt them down.....the jails will have to spend all this money to house them, feed them, get them medical attention and medication,.......then we have to pay the court system, a judge, da, public defender all to have all the court dates required.....and then with the over crowed jail system the girls will get booted out at 1/3 of the time! What a waist of our time and money!
Either make the "small" crimes legal, and take them off the books, Or prossicute to the exact writting of the law! Why waist all this money and time if we don't really mean it???
Our system needs to be fixed~

If there was no 'demand' for their services, prostitues would be out of business. So, let's get the 'demand' off the streets.

Those pitiful men who can't make the effort required to get a wife of girl friend. Or whose sick perversions turn other women off. Put those sickos in jail and give them treatment for their pschological problems.

What kind of man needs to use/abuse young-age 12 and up-girls for sex? Pitiful.

the news article of the prostitution ring mentions nothing about 12 year old girls...it must have been your kinky freudian slip showing underneath your paedophile eyes.

You know that alomost 50% of the JOHNS that get bustes are MARRIED......they are hiding thier perversions from there wife, or just board with what they have at home!

I think it still comes back to fixing our legal system! The Johns and prostitutes arnt worried about the law, because they know that our system wont uphold any sentence they are given. Making it even easy to hide from a spouse!

Look back at my last post about all that.

You are right, but it is only so because of it's illegality. If it were legal and monitored (like with Nevada's brothels) it would be 'above ground' and the criminal element would scurry out of the 'light of day'. People get paid for the use of their bodies to lift objects, cut hair, etc.. and don't even get me started on women who marry well-to-do men because of their wealth, only (allowing men to make use of their bodies in the deal).
So persons 'rent out' the use of their body anyway. The only thing stopping us from allowing it to be a pure business transaction is our puritanical roots.

You are right too......If our state felt so strongly that it was illegal, then Prosecute as per the law, if your not going to follow through, then legalize it and give our system (jails and courts) a freakin break! Why waste the time and money of California Citizines.
