CONSUMER ALERT! I had a water pump put in and wanted to replace my thermostat. I had my car towed by & to Jett Lube 301 South in Statesboro for auto repair. My receipt is for a thermostat and a heating coil. They towed my car in on Nov 2, 2012 and I had to have it towed away from there on Dec. 27h because they still had not fixed it and had no idea what was wrong. I had it towed to the dealership where I was told the head was cracked and the motor was gone and it was going to cost me $5000 to fix it. I went several times trying to get my car from Jett Lube and got the run around by the owner Mike Jett (HE CALLED IT HELP). When I checked my car I learned the radio no longer worked, they cracked the console, the check engine light was on, & it was still running hot. The owner Mike Jett and his technician (Justin) saw the vehicle overheating. The water in the side bottle was bubbling to a boil. In the mean time, the gauge inside the car wasn't registering the vehicle overheating. We said it shouldn't be driven cause you could mess up the engine. They kept it another week but they continued to drive it, test drive it, and drove it to another shop, so we were told and that nothing was wrong. Jett Lube had to send it out to another repair shop cause they couldn't give me answers and didn't know what they had done wrong. Southside stated they drove it to them. They checked it for a leak but Jett Lube picked it up the next day. It was always difficult to contact the owner because I was told he was having eye surgery. When we contacted Mike he had an excuse for everything, said he wasn't there, but let him check it behind Justin & he'd call when ready but no call. Once I told Mike (the owner), they cracked the head & the motor was gone. The owner became rude, defensive, said heís finish, itís not his fault, and wouldn't discuss any means of fixing my vehicle. He should have some type of Liability Insurance for his business to cover their screw ups. Mike wasn't there, so how would he know if or when they ran it hot.

It is unfortunate that (Angie Green) is only telling part of her story. She and her husband self-diagnosed their car, and we were told by them to install a Thermostat and a Heater Core that was leaking. A prior mechanic installed a water pump, due to a water leak. After the mechanic installed their water pump, the car was still running hot, so she told us that her mechanic said it needed a Thermostat. I donít understand why she didnít have her original mechanic install the thermostat and heater core, since he was already working on it.

We waited over two weeks after we got the car, for the (Greens) to decide on installing the thermostat and heater core, because they didnít have the funds. Finally, we did install the thermostat and heater core, so they came down to my shop and, at that time, I told them the car was still running hot, the car had not even been test driven at that point. So, then I told them that I would try to find the problem and even get a second opinion from another shop to try and solve the problem. We invested a lot of time in trying to find the problem with her car; we pulled her seat and carpet out to try and dry water that had leaked from the heater core, and tried to dry out the main body wiring connector located under her driver seat that had also got wet, due to the heater core leaking. All this additional work we did for the (Greens), they were never charged, because they didnít have the money to pay for it anyway. The other thing that the (Greens) left out of their story, was after all the time that we did have their car, they still didnít have the funds to pay for it,(because they gave us a post dated bad check), but I will say (Mrs. Green) did pay us a portion of the bill in cash.

In closing, it really comes down to this: we are the real victims here.
She has unjustly complained all over the internet about us, I thought they were good people and I never believed they could be so evil. They want to blame everyone else for running their car hot, but in her own words that she wrote.(She states in her complaint that after we installed the thermostat the car was still running hot); common sense will tell you that if all the car needed was a thermostat and it was installed, there had to be something still wrong or it would have fixed it. Again, it had a bad water pump leak and a heater core leak (when a car leaks out water, it runs hot). The (Greens) need to blame themselves for damaging their own engine, because they ran their own car hot when the water pump went bad in the beginning.
ALL SHOPS BEWARE OF THE (GREENS)!!
