The government is making city and state governments dependent on the grants and givaways to fund things that they should be funding themselves. It is nice that the local area is getting all of these goodies at the expense of our children and grandchildren that will have to pay the bill when it comes due. Sanders and Leahy are essentially mugging the next generations to pay for things which are not the business of the federal government to provide. They act klike the $500,000 is free money. No it is not. It is money borrowed, probably from China, which will come due long after our politicians are sitting on the beach drawing their fat retirements.
I am not saying that the money is not being spent on things that are needed. I am saying it is not the business of the federal taxpayers to fund city and state needs. These should be funded byu the local taxpayers. There should be a law against politicians stealing from the future generations to pay for things that the federal government should not have to pay for..
