At some point the gas station owners need to get wise and 'with the program,' to provide training to their clerks, and to install an video surveillance security system. If not they might find themselves as co-defendants in a civil suit over an identity-theft case. |

at my place of employment, we clean & inspect our debt cardreaders weekly. it is also key for everyone to observe before they insert their card. good job for the customer.

When businesses install cameras, please consider getting HIGH RESOLUTION cameras, so the pictures can be useful to id suspects.. those blurry pictures SUCK! and if they were clear, the perps would be in jail now, identity proveable by crystal clear photos - I cannot believe WalMart installs blurry cameras... probably they bought them off the walmart shelf.. made by chinese slaves with toxic plastic components and substandard lenses.
This card reader scam is wicked, insidious.. I wish they would have left the reader in place, and staked out the thiefs .. put a mic in the store and listen if certain clerks are in on it.. I bet there is an inside connection |

High Resolution Cameras (Sacramento, CA): How do you know those pictures aren't crops from a very high resolution photo, and those people are very far away in the frame? You don't.
As for the "inside connection"... I bet you could use a tinfoil hat to go with your conspiracy collection. |

This world has gone to hell in hand basket. When criminals are not punishd it only shows that the law helps the guilty. The innocent are the ones who suffer because this country is so laxed when it comes to justice. I have been in many countries, and I can tell you that these type of crimes do not occur without serious consequences. In southeast Asia, and Europe they will enforce laws where the U.S just sits back and waits for someone to end up dead or worse.

Hardly a stupid comment. If you think about it maybe I am talking about kids being lazy thugs and criminals nowadays and the parents not knowing how to parent properly. Those kind of parents should be sterilized. |
