I am Cajun, from Louisiana... And I will be completely honest. The tri-state area has no Cajun food that I have found... Other then what is cooked at my house.

Can I get an invite for dinner then? LOL! I looove Cajun food and only get to eat it when my Aunt from Louisiana comes up, but its been a couple years since I have seen her:( I went to the time out lounge yesterday and had some gumbo and while it was good, it was nothing like the real thing.

Most people don't put love in the food they are cooking. My friend from GA taught me how to cook southern food and I promise there are no left overs. I love cajun food too. Hard to find good red beans and rice.

You also have to realize, there is Cajun food, and there is New Orleans food. Not the same!

tis true. My aunt is cajun as well and many many years ago her and my uncle renewed their vows and my aunt and her family cooked all the food for the reception. I loved it! It was Cajun food for days!
