Is she worth it? Is she feeling some kind of way about some inside industry politics, or something?

Jennifer Lopez is another face of L'Oreal. Is Beyesterday feeling some kind of way about sharing that spotlight? Or is that light even shining on her anymore? Did she sign with Pepsi to overshadow being dropped by L'Oreal in favor of Lopez?

Seriously, what is wrong with her? Why is she talking so damn much, or attempting to express herself publicly with subtle judgement about other artists? Isn't that "out of character" for perfect, private Beyesterday who would never use the n-word unlike JLo? Never say never about a person you don't know personally. They will shame and shock you at the same time!

i do not believe beyonce is worth it, because i think beyonce believes in her own "greatness". i think it's wonderful that she's confident in herself, but to have this type of confidence is scary. i believe beyonce believes herself to be some type of deity.

i could understand this if beyonce was... fifty years old and had decades of experience underneath her belt, i'd excuse her behavior. but she isn't. she isn't michael jackson, she isn't nina simone, she isn't billie holiday. her sound has not changed the game, she's just a great performer with a great voice.

she's said, in that documentary, that she's been through so much as a "woman", which is bullshit and rude to the black performers who came before her who literally fought to have their music heard. they just wanted their music to be appreciated. back when nina simone was around and belting out lyrics, it wasn't about fame. it wasn't about becoming a deity and having people be obsessed with you to the point where they revert to toddler days at the sound of your name. it was about your music.

for beyonce, it's another story.

she wants people to be obsessed with her.

and that whole "woman" thing, it's another business tactic. it's disrespectful, sure, being a woman is nothing compared to specifically being a black woman, but that would mean alienating her white audiences and actually talking something of substance rather than just dribbling at the mouth and shouting "GURL POWA WHO RUN DA WORLD".... everything she does is calculated and contrived at this point. she is everywhere too much and it is too much to handle.

i'm done with this essay. i've been a fan of bey since i was small, i idolized her, i looked up to her and at this point, i'm dissappointed. i wish we could go back to the bey no one knew anything about. because this one is annoying.

I'm on the fence. Her tour is sold out in every city if you try and buy tickets. Them shits sold out in hours if not minutes.

Its like Beyonce is trying to 'try new ways' of staying relevant. I still think she's one of the most popular celebs. Could be wrong. The media has had a unique way of bringing her back into the limelight. From the lipsinging at the inauguration, to the Super Bowl, Now this. She's definitely had 'assistance' with creating a buzz for herself this time.Hmmm. Time will tell.
