This is so ignorant! What about Evansville is tropical!? Nothing... Doesn't matter what you rename it, it's still going to be called the "boat" or "aztar" what a waste of time.

CAPTAIN BATMAN would like to point out that Tropical is the name of the company that owes Aztar. CAPTAIN BATMAN also says to stop eat paint chips.

How about you just calm down and don't let it ruin your day. Tropicana entertainment owns them to begin with, so it's not really a waste of time for them to rename it. Calm the f*ck down. Not like your broke @ss goes there anyways. lol

It's Tropicana, not Tropical. It's not connected to the one in Vegas as most people think. It used to be when they first bought the company, but then THEY went bankrupt and it was all split off. As I said all day today, unless they actually bother to revamp the boat, changing the name won't do any good. I agree with the GM though when he said that we really weren't connected with the Aztar company anymore (they're LONG gone) so why keep the name? It simply doesn't mean anything anymore.

Tropicana Entertainment has been the parent of Casino Aztar for awhile now so it was just a matter of time before this change happened. It really doesn't mean anything except a shitload of work for their advertising department and a lot of money spent changing the logo on everything from the side of the hotel, to the pens they write with. After the construction being done to the hotel and still continuing around the property the change really doesn't come as a surprise. Aztar isn't connected with the Vegas Tropicana, but is with all the others in the US and one in Aruba.
