I had it done with novasure (ablation-where they burn the lining off your uterus = no periods).

So far, totally a good experience. Zero side effects. Quick procedure minimal discomfort. After 3 months follow-up test showed I was 100% blocked. No hormonal birth contro anymorel (I am over 35 and a smoker = huge stroke/blood clot risk) and no periods.:)

Recommend Dr. Bazinski's office. They will let you come in for a consult first. Very professional staff and nice office.

Do your research first, though. Some people have reported problems (but take forums with a pinch of salt...people with bad experiences are more likely to post). Make sure you do not have nickel allergies (coils are coated in it).

Less invasive than traditional tubal ligation. Insurance covered a lot of cost. I also like the fact there is no fertilization at all. I had mirena and it bothered me that an egg could still be fertilized, just not implant.(Guess it depends on when you believe life begins??)

Women's reproductive control options are still pretty limited. Best of luck to you!!!

Ive had it done as well. Same as the other poster i got both things done and very glad i did. Im only 21 but have a child and dont want anotger one so make sure u know you dont want anymore kids becaise you cant take it out. It was a very fast and simple thing to have done. And also the ablation was fast easy and simple as well. I sent to cindy basenski(last name spelled wrong) but her office is very clean and everyone is really sweet.
My thing was every dr was saying no u cant be fixed untill you have two kids or are 25 and she listened to ehat i had to say and didnt throw bullshit at me. Best part is that its an in office lrocedure so only a co pay is needed to pay for it :)

I had it done also. Good experience. JUST BE SURE YOU NEVER WANT TO HAVE CHILDREN! There is no reversing it.

You dont get cut open or anything for tge esure. U just take some meds n her office to calm u down open ur legs and in they go. U can watch the whole thing on a tv cause they use a camera to find your tubes. Its really no biggie. I went to work the next day would have wdnt that same day but meds were making me loopy. Just go talk tp her. Ull be shocked to find how easy and simple it all is.
