Wrongful convictions isn't justice for anyone. I am against fabricated police reports. I am truly against bias city officials that ignore abuse and corruption.

Police abuse has been a problem with several officers from Newburgh Heights. Malfeasance range from physical assaults to fabricated evidence. The matter is overwhelmingly ignored.
I don't think any major changes will come, because the officers have been protected by the very officials who run the small village. This issue has been brought to their attention many times and no administrative changes yet.
Szelenyi has indeed falsified police reports. His conduct has influenced many officers to participate in his abuse and lie. There is always the opportunity is always available for an officer to report abuse.
The problem is that they do not recognize the complaints, or take the offences seriously Abuse and the pattern of corruption affects the entire force. The chief and captain have to enforce strong policies against police abuse and cover up.
This police blue wall of silence and evidence altering is major.......
I am tired of hearing about how dangerous an officers' job is and how difficult it is for an officer to come down from their aggressive mode and how their lives are constantly in danger, as is this gives an officer the right to go around abusing their authority. The fact is there are rogue cops and force is used without just cause. There needs to be ongoing evaluations for police officers, it's as simple as that. why not ! a Police officer have a lot of power, especially regarding another persons life, and if he's crooked that dominion is destructive.
This is often taken too lightly from the very agencies that are put in place to handle such issues, sometimes agencies wait until a more dreadful event takes place. Now is this fair? Is this JUSTICE?
I don't want to give the impression that police don't have hardships especially in their line of work, But good officers don't fabricate evidence, good officers don't withhold evidence that will vindicate. Good officers don't engage in the blue wall of silence. Good officers mix their personal feelings and emotions with their work. Good officers simply don't use abuse and lies.
Police officers have to maintain good and professional standards because their job is important many rely upon their work ethic and credibility.
Police abuse indeed undermines credibility.
Crooked Cops are Dangerous
What about how dangerous it is when a citizen comes across a bad cop?
What about a conviction based on lies?
What about the children who witness abuse from bad cops?
What about the citizens who are deprived of equal protection under the law?
What about the families who suffer as the result of bad cops?
What about the lack of employment one endures because of crooked cops lies?
What about the financial burden of paying for an attorney and paying court cost or not being able to pay court cost, and not being able to afford to pay bills, because of a wrongful conviction?
Police corruption and lies ruins lives greatly. Police lies are crimpling to citizens and to the administration of justice.
Just imagine how many lives are ruined as the result of crooks in police uniforms......
How many studies have been conducted on the false charges brought against an innocent defendant?
Kim Bankhead has a Law suit and the administrative attention needed to possibly stop this pattern; but there are individuals who were not lucky or blessed to receive attention and support needed to address the abuse patterns.
Joseph Szelenyi Jr. has charged individuals for crimes that were not committed. An investigation should be conducted into any and all arrests that involves Szelenyi especially if the arrests include assaults and resisting arrest and obstruction of official business, since these charges are typically the charges used in police lies.

Nice forum. Its amazing on how many cases out there are just pure weird. I wonder sometimes though on how attorneys deal with their conscience (if they have one) after winning in a case like murder when or if they know that the person they are defending is guilty of such crime.
