The republican civil war is heating up and the extremists are making a power grab.

Problem is, it seems to be the power of the people to select their own representatives that the tea party wants to take away.

Earlier this week the "tea party patriots" sent out an email fundraiser with a photo-shopped picture of Karl Rove dressed as a Nazi asking supporters to help them "wipe the smirk" off of Karl Rove's face.

It's a sad commentary on the true nature of the far right.
