This is why it is preferrable that world's elite universities have off-shore campuses in China, first to avoid people like you; second to outsourse our education system.

They do. There is affilation between UofSingapore and Kellogg and/or Wharton; and also in HK university.
don't know which uni.
I guess most Chinese students come to US is because of the limited spaces in the above univeristies and/or just because they want to study/experience US universities.

Chinese students come to the US because that is where the best scholars are. The best scholars insist on living in a place which cherishes academic freedom, and China does not cherish this freedom. Most of the profs who go to China from the US are second-rate profs who have a hard time making it in mainstream American academia.

5000 years of development, and still a developing country. I don't understand why people in the west are nervous about China. The country still needs another 5000 years before it reaches 'modern'. Chinese from SH BJ and GZ will probably disagree with this, but if you go out to Gansu and Qinghai, you will see that some of the country still is living in the 16th century.

Welcome to the US. We honestly welcome you. Breath our air and enjoy our freedoms.

I agree with the above post. Our country is very backward in many areas, but it is getting better. I don't know why China is still in developing country phase. I don't know. One would think that after so much time we would so-called 'get our act together'. I have been in the US for 20 years, and I, unfortunately, am a bit embarrassed by my roots in such a backward place. What is wrong with China???? Why can't she figure out how to just be modern. perhaps the country is georgraphically too big. Life is miserable for most Chinese, but it is getting much better by the day. Chicago has 5000 Chinese nationals.

One of the reasons that China is so undeveloped is the CCP, with its problematic policies and rampant corruption.

It just so happens that the top ivy league schools and high pay jobs tend to be in the US. Its all about the opportunity to earning more money.

And also not every Chinese guy is there to get an education. Some enrol to get the Visa. And then set up their own business to import in their Chinese goods to undercut competition. Quality Winter jackets that are same price as Old Navy but 10 times better quality! Why use a western guy to do the middle man logistics when you can do it yourself with your connections from China.

And these Chinese students will all drive Japanese and German cars anyway. Not American! Uh oh, looks like bringing them here ain't going to help GM with sales.
