Convenience store opens on disputed territory

Full story: Watertown Daily Times

On the outside, Twin Leaf Express doesn't look like anything special; old-fashioned gas pumps and a convenience store.

if the town fights this they are a hell of alot dumber than i thought! the only one that seems pissed is phil leroux, typical of a republican and the fact he no longer has the power to drive businesses out of this village
who cares

There is no way leroux can close the new sroew down, He may have ran Ft, Cov, for 40 years but his time is up.
Give a new gyt a chance,
Alll they need now is a new trucking service for heating fuel. Anyone have any ideas of whom it may be??

leave them alone....they are fighting a battle with the bullshit co-op that is trying to make it harder on them. its a hell of a lot nicer than leroux's store and the people are friendlier. im running for town board next time so i will have a voice in the workings in this village.

The new store did well today ,
cars were lined up alll over waiting for the grand opening.
I hope they make it big and stay around for a long time,
Everything is so convenient, and when you go in there they dont throw your purchases at you they hand them to you like a normal cashier,
They don.t act like they are there only cause they have to be and they hate their job..
One more thing you dont smell greasy when you come out .....
oh its her that lady

Lerouxs is OK. Twin Leaf is just a little bit better. Lerouxs is small and Twin Leaf has more room and more of a variety! I say leave them both alone.. They both serve purposes in this town.

The new store is big time for Ft Covington.
our poor IGA closed ,
It is so handy to have hogansburg IGA and they have great prices and very helpful and friendly.
Beats running all the way to Malone or Massena for food.

New Business brings jobs and growth. Two things Fort Covington is in desperate need of. I say welcome and hope you stay open for many years to come. I know my family will enjoy your many services.

Daily Horoscope for December 24

Gemini

It's a busy day and you've got quite enough to do without having to cope with people clamoring for your attention and likely to go into a huff if they don't get it. Is this person feeling neglected because you're busily occupied elsewhere or are there other reasons for their demanding mood? Simply giving them a big hug could make all the difference to their behavior.
