This makes me heartsick. How can someone do this to a dog? It's probably a good thing that I can't get my hands on this woman right now. The ARAs call me cruel because I hunt. Hunting isn't cruelty, it's as natural as breathing. What this woman did is cruelty. I can't even describe the pain and rage I experience when I see picture like these. Such a beautiful pup, I pray he recovers and finds a good home. Good luck and God bless, Patrick.

There have been photos of Patrick all over Facebook since he was found and rescued. Not only was he tied up, apparently someone decided to bag him like garbage and toss him down the trash chute. If not for the maintenance worker who happened to see the bag move, he would have most certainly died. He had no body temp and was extremely emaciated when he arrived at the vets, and he also received a blood transfusion.

I hope they prosecute this woman to the fullest extent of the law. There is NO excuse she can give that should be accepted. Unconscionable.

As much as it pains me to say so, I must agree with you on this one.

In my opinion, this piece of trash does not have the right to breathe the same air that good people breathe-she deserves to breathe no air at all. God, where are you? Won't you protect your precious and innocent creatures and punish the evil?

I think I saw somewhere on the Internet that Kisha Curtis' court trial is coming up this month. Kisha Curtis is the woman who had starved and tortured poor Patrick to near-death.

In Kisha Curtis' first court appearance in May, 2011, Kisha had the audacity to wear a Happy Meal t-shirt to court. The nerve of that woman after she had starved Patrick to the shadow of death. I wonder what Kisha Curtis will wear to her court trial this month in July.

Patrick truly is a miracle dog to have survived such horrible, torture by that cruel woman, Kisha Curtis.

I hope Kisha Curtis is sentenced to the fullest extent of the law. Felony animal abuse is a serious crime. Kisha Curtis should definitely spend some serious time in a prison cell for felony animal abuse of Patrick.

I got the following information from 'Basset Hound Rescue Organizations' Internet site:

"Once again, the trial that so many have been waiting for is delayed. The trial of Kisha Curtis, the alleged abuser of the pit bull named Patrick has been rescheduled for July 30, 2013 (1:30 pm).

From what I understand it will be a jury trial. As soon as I get more information I will update this blog.

Patrick is eagerly awaiting his day in court."

I hope she beats it. Putting people in prison for things that are not dangerous to society is pretty stupid imo. $50 seems appropriate for this as what she did is slightly more destructive to society than illegal parking but much less destructive than speeding. The punishment should fit the destructiveness of the behavior imo.

The Internet is "free reign for trolling idiots."

If you really do think that torturing and starving a dog to death can compare to traffic violations then you have just demonstrated that as psychological research concludes you are without a moral compass. As a result, you are incapable of differentiating between right and wrong, or good and bad.

If seeing what Kisha Curtis did to Patrick, the dog, does not break your heart then you are an extremely abnormal person. Your calloused attitude is seriously disturbing.

What is really disturbing is when the ribs are not slow cooked to perfection.

I have no idea what my emotional reaction to her behavior has to do with this. I am talking about legality and punishing people because it makes me feel sad is pretty draconian. I am not concerned with moral outrage. I am concerned about safety in a society. What Kisha did poses more danger than illegal parking but less danger than speeding. IMO, the punishment should be somewhere between the 2.

I also don't know what psychological research has to do with this. In fact, I didn't even post what my emotional response was. It is also completely normal to kill living beings without remorse. All of humans do it to one critter or another and just because you empathize with a critter and elevate their value, that doesn't mean (nor should it) that everybody believes it has the same value. For example, I had pet goats, cows and chickens as a child. They were 100% pets and never used to procure resources. My neighbors on the other hand sold their cows, chickens and even goats sometimes for slaughter. How I valued my critters didn't (and shouldn't) have any impact on how my neighbor viewed his critters. I personally find your desire to put people in prison and your apparent pleasure in watching them suffer to be deplorable. Perhaps you are the one who is warped from a psychological perspective and I am the compassionate one.

Only because you are illogical and somewhat irrational.

What makes your subjective morality superior to anyone else's?

ldo. he agrees with his subjective reality so that makes it superior. He disagrees with my subjective reality thereby making mine inferior. He/she is the moral authority and anybody who has different thoughts/beliefs is morally inferior. This is the same thought process employed by the Inquisition. I am amazed at how people repeat history regardless of how terrible the outcomes were in the past.

I know who you are! Also, you stole the name 'USA ROCKS' from a person on the topix.com Michael Vick forum. For more than three years, on that particular forum, you have been on the topix.com Michael Vick forum defending, cheering and showing a deep devotion and intense love for Michael Vick. Yep! You are a true sicko for defending Michael Vick who viciously fought and killed dogs along with his evil buddies. Michael Vick is a brutal man who had brutally hanged dogs by the neck until they were dead. Michael Vick and his evil friends tortured, brutally fought, and (repeat) hanged dogs by their necks until they were dead. Michael Vick electrocuted, starved and viciously fought dogs for many, many years until the authorities caught him. He was sentenced to prison. Now Vick is convicted felon known around the nation and world for being a sociopathic dog killer. Vick is a brutal man; and you defend him still. You love you some Vick. You are a sicko. Therefore, I understand why you do not care at all what Kisha Curtis starved, and toruted poor Patrick to near death. You are a true sicko.
