Probably the same way they count crowds of people. Take a photo, apply a grid, count (or estimate) a number within one sector & multiply it by the number of sectors in the grid.

I've personally seen a helicopter used to take aerial shots to make the numbers more accurate, but obviously it's not necessary.

Oneonta is a lovely town. They won't miss you when you're gone. Now why don't you go collect hubcaps on Rt 28.

I don't drink beer (or litter), I don't do dope & I'm not from NYC. And anybody who doesn't know the difference between "are" & "our" isn't worth paying attention to anyway. Your neighbors deserve better representation.
