Militant and defiant show of unity? lmao

This number is way overstated. The author should have checked the "real news reporters" before writing this B.S.

"Immigrant advocates had hoped that yesterday's rallies would help them build pressure on Obama to move forward with broad immigration legislation, which would include measures to give legal status to about 12 million illegal immigrants in the country.

But in Chicago, only about 5,000 people came out, a far cry from the estimated 65,000 who turned out a year ago. Some immigrants said that because of the flu, they did not feel it was safe to bring their families to a crowded rally.
In Los Angeles, there was no big march as in past years, as immigration groups chose to hold several smaller rallies.

In San Diego, about 250 demonstrators marched from San Diego City College to Chicano Park.
The crowd of mostly young Latinos carried Mexican flags, banners and placards demanding an end to immigration raids and calling for legalization for people they described as 'migrants without papers.'"

Yeah, it was Closer to 2,000, but don't expect the pro-illegal side to state the truth!

In L.A.,it was said that the leaders of the seven different marches could not agree talking points,or how to put together one huge gathering.

They should have taking lessons from the Tea Party leaders.

I doubt 60,000 showed up in L.A. Maybe I missed the news reports on the marches. But I still haven't heard anything on them, even on L.A. news channels.

if it was a numbers game, it would have been for naught because mere numbers wont really penetrate the cudgels of us government policy... it was not to pressure but only to remind and just remind obama about one of his platforms of government ..... on immigration reforms

If Obama thinks it is a good idea to give amnesty to these invaders;he needs to look around.

I've looked at most of the may1 marches on youtube and am very pleased to see these illegal supporters were NOT representing www.mexica-movement.org

I guess they figured out that the reconquista agenda REALLY pissed off the citizens of the USA.

In Chicago it was about 2,000 which is about a 10th the size of those in past years .
Detroit police estimated between 5,000 to 7,000 people attended Friday's march.
Several hundred immigration supporters in Salt Lake City and Las Vegas.
Another 2,000 immigrant supporters in Oregons capitol.
And about 6,000 total in the various marches in L.A..

Here's a good one:

Thousands attend L.A. pro-immigration rallies

That was the headline on the local NBC tv station website. What turned out to be missing from the ensuing story was that organizers had predicted 600,000 demonstrators. What they got was more like 10,0000, and that's being kind in my math. Also, these were NOT "pro-immigration rallies." They were pro-ILLEGAL immigration rallies, demanding that anyone here illegally be given amnesty, and that anyone else who wants to, be allowed to come here. Basically, open borders. Many liberals think that is just a fine idea. Maybe if we have a REAL pandemic one of these days, or another terrorist attack they'll wake up, but I doubt it. The fact that illegal immigration has destroyed California schools and hospitals hasn't bothered them. They figure just raise taxes and continue the cycle. Well, you can only do that for so long before the state is destroyed completely. And as California goes, so goes the nation. It's interesting that the rallies are held each year on May Day - the day celebrated all over the world by communists and socialists as the "workers' day." Funny thing - the "workers" of America were at their JOBS on May Day, not out in the streets.

This is so funny, the amount of illegal lovers who marched is less than 3000 all across the country....
