That wasn't an accident, it was carelessness that cost a little girl her life. Her internship will be the least of her problems if she's charged with vehicular homicide, as she should be.

What was it that caused her to run into the car? The article doesn't state all of the details, so I guess that nobody, including myself, should pass judgment on her. She should be able to continue her internship until a judgment is made in that little thing we call a court of law.

Bah, maybe they got rid of her because her work was lousy. I know where else she interns, and people that "work" with her there. I'm told she says and does what she can to get out of doing work.

It was an accident, a highly unfortunate one that could easily have been avoided. How do you run into the rear-end of another car hard enough to shove them into oncoming traffic while flipping your own car over? Carelessness! Was a cell phone invloved, perhaps???

She should've just taken the letter of recommendation (not sure how she got it, really) and went to another district, quietly. Killing a little girl, seriously injuring her father, and causing lifetime emotional stress to an entire family and community, and she's got the nerve to plead in public that losing a non-paying internship is unfair?! She's callous.

If it was your classmate that was killed by her, would YOU want to go see her for therapy? If your co-worker was just crippled by her, would you want to hang out in the teachers lounge, shooting the breeze? And if your granddaughter was just killed by her, would you want her working for you?

Unfortunately this was a horrible accident which took the life of a beautiful child and seriously injured her father. Her death has caused a lot of heartache and pain to her family, friends, and co-workers of the parents and grandmother. Many of us are still grieving.
It is true that the newspaper did not state the underlying cause of the accident. We as human beings cannot judge or point fingers at Feliciano. I know personally that if she was a co-worker of mine I would have a lot of trouble seeing her everyday.
My own child periodically grieves for her friend. I try to tell my child that we must try to forgive Feliciano so we can move on. It is hard to forgive, especially when you see your own child crying. I don't want my child harboring any grudges against another person. It will only make my child more angry and upset.
Though I don't know her, I believe that Feliciano feels horrible about the accident and wishes she could change what happened on that horrible day.
The decision whether Feliciano remains in the school district or not should only be decided by the appropriate members. I also agree that she should continue her internship until a decision is made.
