Hopefully our police force will get done adequate training now. Not some suburban Skykar Smith coming to our city scared out of his britches which makes him quick to shoot instead of doing his job. Multiple police officers open fired on that man, record or not, he did not have a gun & did not shoot at those officers......good guys! There are none in this. There is nothing but angry residents & confused tax payers. I live in that neighborhood & am worried about the outcome of this in ourM city. My tax dollars have just paid for a murder in cold blood . All we can do is hope that our community can keep it together & not make the situation worse. But it's a full moon & the weekend is upon us. I'm locking my doors & keeping the blinmds shut !

If all this was over a warrant for unpaid child support, then why was he running away from the cops? His own family said he had problems with drugs and alcohol, yet, of course, as always in these case, he was a "good boy". A good boy who apparently did drugs, wasn't supporting his kids and pulled a knife on the cops.

And the brother's comment of "You 'f---ed with the Lembhards" says it all. They must think they're some sort of gang. Well, if you're going to act like a gang, you're going to get treated like a gang.

No Tom those cops straight murdered that boy unjustified funny cops can't find a knife to put into evidence , he was sitting on his sisters porch and ran inside cops followed and opened fire in living room , the only thing media is reporting is the lies cops r telling to cover up killing a kid . So now a mother lost her child kid lost ther father and siblings lost ther brother this was a senseless murder by cops it's pretty scary that we needs to fear law enforcement when we should feel protected by them

Then Mlpp2012, why did he run inside? If he had done nothing wrong, or had no reason to fear law enforcement, then why did he run?

He doesn't run, he doesn't get shot.

So ur tellin me cus he ran inside they r justified in killing him what if it was your kid ? They had no right to enter that house they should have done the right thing and knocked or get a warrant to come in don't forget ther wer 4 innocent children and 2 woman in that house wher they opened fire the Newburgh police r part of the problem in that city

He ran inside. The cops don't know if he ran in to get a gun, or a knife, or anything. And how are they supposed to know there were women and kids in the house? And if they knocked, did they really expect someone to answer? And there already was a warrant out on him. If they waited to get another warrant, he'd have run away.

If he was so concerned about the women and kids, then maybe he shouldn't have placed them in danger by running inside that house.

And if it was my kid, I'd first teach him to show some personal responsibility by paying his child support. And I'd also teach him to obey the cops' orders and not to run away from them.

That's the whole point they didn't know who was in the house thank god the children weren't caught in fire of bullets but u sound just as bad as those cops who murdered a man in cold blood in front of his family with no warrant to enter that house

If this "man" ran in the house and hurt someone, it would have been the officers fault regardless if this "man" did it or not. I was brought up in some tough neighborhoods and you are tought not to run. Bottom line, if he didn't run he would still be alive. May he rest in piece!

Well, there's a brilliant response.
