I'm wondering exactly how George Green advised te town residents to boil the water ?
I am a town resident
no phone call
no flyer
no knock on the door
no mention of it on the town website,,,,,,

Agreed, my family found out on their own. My brother came home last night from work and said Dunkin Donuts closed because of the water and it didn't start smelling musty until today.

not the first time, maybe we need to examine the water authority since this seems to be an annual occurance.

I have contacted Congresswoman Sue Kelly. She represents New Windsor. I dont know what she can do but I guarantee that if ALL New Windsor residents email her, she will be more inclined to pursue the matter.
By the way, there are other towns which use the exact same water source that New Windsor does. Why havent they switched to another water source? It's simple, they have spent the money on a better filtration plant.

I have not had the time to read the papers recently and found out about it on Wed. 7/5/06, last night. It is now about 5 am.
Where does that leave me and my dog?

Anyone know how long this will last? It seems to be happening more often. Is there a plan to get better water to the residents of New Windsor? Why am I paying for water I can't drink, that I don't want to wash my clothes in because of the smell or even have a shower or brush my teeth without images of pond scum?

here we are again,,even though the boil advisor is lifted weeks ago,,the water is worse than I have ever seen,,or actually smelled in the 8 years I have been here,, I won't drink it, can barely tolerate a shower and the smell of the dishes out of the dishwasher is like you rinsed them in a fishbowl !,, What is going on here !
