Hopefully one of the vandals will brag to a friend who will turn them in. Let's hope there's even a video that they post on the internet of their destruction.

If and when found they should have something like one thousand hours each of community service AFTER they pay for all the damage.(Hopefully that payment would include archival reconstruction of the damaged stones!)

Oh, and if these were juveniles (you know, those type of kids who their parents didn't notice they were out of the house at 1 a.m. or so) their PARENTS' names should be publicized - you know it could be, Joe Jones - father of the unnamed juvenile -.....

This had to be a group effort, and there's always someone in a group that can't help talking. They'll find them.

As a resident I can comment that part of the problem is we don't have a substantial enough budget for a police force.

I would like to know who is doing that. I think this is very cruel and inhumane.

I think that if/when they find who did this they should be sentenced to 1 month for every broken headstone. Seriously.

If we did like other countries with caning or other public spectacle of punishment. These idiots would curb their enthusiasm to commit crimes like this. Then again, responsibility needs taken.

Even in my craziest and stupidest teenaged moments, I never would have considered desicrating a grave.

That is just the lowest, most classless form of stupidity. I hope the community is able to catch these little punks. Fines, community service, and possibly jail. And the parents should be held accountable if the perps were minors.

This is sick and wrong.
Parents....do you know where your kids are and who they hang around with?
OY

If I were the judge sentencing these sickos, I would hand down a cruel and unusual punishment.
I would make them work the cemetery grounds and trim around all the gravestones untill they worked off the debt they owed to each family for their destruction.

When these criminals are caught, I hope the courts take into account not only the emotional damage this causes to the family of those lost but also put a current replacement cost on the damage they did so felony charges can be filed and not a slap on the wrist is given to these low lifes.
