Is this the same Matt Stankey who was the roommate of James A. Jurisch, the February 2007 victim of a shooting in Farmington, MN that happened in retaliation because Mathew Stankey shorted the gunman's friend by eight grams of marijuana?

If so, this is the poster child case for a "three strikes and you're out" sentence in Minnesota.

All of you pot smokers have blood on your hands because it is your money, or the promise of your money, that drives the violence. Dealers aren't particularly rational, but it is your dollars that provide the motivation for what can only be described as domestic terrorism. Marijuana smoking is not a victimless crime.

How brave of them to DRIVE by, instead of knocking on the door for a good old fist fight! Drive bys are the losers way of doing things. There isn't honor or bravery in drive bys. My 80 year old grandmother can drive by and shoot someone; your not tough.

So, you endorse legalization of marijuana? I would guess all the pot smokers appreciate that!

Yes, but marijuana smoking *would* be a victimless crime if were legalized and regulated. It's true. Kind of like how drinking beer in the 1920's wasn't a victimless crime. All of the (illegal) alcohol that people were still drinking had to be funnelled in by the black market.

It's clearly not going away, and decades of enforcement has had zero positive impact. Time to start thinking intelligently about marijuana policy.

If being a drug dealer and allowing yourself to participate in drive by's, drugs, criminal activity etc. is part of being an average "white suburban kid" then I moving back to the city! Where are the parents guidance in all of this? Where is the education? They are all over 18 but that doesn't mean that parents can't get involved. Ship them over to a third world country and maybe then they'll appreciate all that has been "given" to them in their suburban homes. Man, kids have it easy these days.

Marijuana smoking is not just a crime here. It's what is making these kids act crazy and commit crimes. Anyone who knows these kids, knows that they were good kids, but smoking marajuana completely changed their personality, mind, judgement and actions. The crime here is not just dealing with illegal drugs. The crime is what the drugs have done to these people. It's made them lose their judgement so they make these huge mistakes that are going to ruin their lives. If marajuana doesn't physically ruin you, it will turn you into something that will ruin you.

When I grew up there, it was nothing but a big highway and a couple farms. You've come a long way Eagen! I now live in Virginia Beach, VA and this type of behaviour is commonplace. I thought pot smokers were mellow?

So why just NOT get mixed up in the smoking illegal drugs, crime etc. Why not educate yourself and become a productive citizen instead of harming other. Don't give me that excuse of "Oh it is the drugs." Well if you wouldn't do it in the first place and CONTINUE because you want to be a hard ass, you wouldn't be involved in all the mess and drama. There is SO much help/assistance for young people these days. Just saying...get a clue.

Daily Horoscope for December 31

Pisces

Someone is extremely headstrong and defiant today, and there's every chance that you're the one fitting this description. The more others are trying to make you behave yourself or do what they want, the more determined you'll be to do the exact opposite. Well, it is a Full Moon, and a lunar eclipse in emotional Cancer, so you're excused! Show them that you're an individual in your own right without going completely overboard about it, because that will cause trouble. Then once you've got all that off your chest you can relax and look forward to a really Happy New Year!
